NURSING 2
Nursing
Innovation to improve the health and lives of patients is very useful. An example of ground
breaking innovation is Virtual Sitter Service, an innovation that contacts with a local
employment service and provides adult day care services. This innovation also provides
overnight sitters for patients. The Virtual Sitter Service as the first selection for purchase. There
is a high demand for nurses at home. Many patients at home lack the appropriate care and to
others require more nurses to provide care. This innovation will allow a patient to gain access to
several sitters regardless of the time. It will also enable the current caregiver at home to rest or
take a break (Berry & Berry, 2018).
Another innovation is the Tele Wound Consulting Service, an innovation that works with the
local home health agency and provides the patients with nurses certified in wound care. The
patients can receive treatment at the comfort of their homes. Moreover, patients can obtain
emergency treatment, as nurses are only readily available (Tidd & Bessant, 2018).
These innovations impact the organization positively since they increase patient satisfaction and
employee satisfaction. The cost is relatively cheaper than routine services at a healthcare facility
since the people have to pay a small fee to access the services. The two innovations are
sustainable and require very little maintenance. The sitter will, however, require continued
training to meet the patient needs. This cost, however, will be met by the individual. The nurses
already have training in wound care, therefore require no further training
