Introduction
In short Virtual teamwork is defined as a team of people who work together across
various geographical locations with mainly depended on communication technology such as
voice or video conferencing services, FAX and many more. With the emerging world of
globalization and decentralization, many enterprises felt it necessary to adapt something new
which results in agile and quick in interpreting any problems, in that virtual team present
flexibility besides fast results.
Thesis Statement
What are the benefits of the creation of virtual marketing team work?
Main context
It is advised to the Marketing Director of XYZ Company to establish the virtual
marketing team with staffs located in Loss Angles, Melbourne, Bangalore, and Shanghai which
will benefit the company to hire and retain the best workers regardless of location. It helps the
company to work with complementary skills for committing a common marketing purpose (Ziek
and Anderson, 2015). Furthermore, it helps the company to work firstly with flexibility due to
the workers have interdependent performance goals and also share a common approach to
perform any work for which they grasp themselves mutually accountable.
The furthermore advantages that the company will face due to the adaptation of virtual
teamwork are following discussed. It helps the company to increase their employee’s
productivity that means the company can overview the work performance of different places
located workers at a time which ultimately in improving work performance of the company. In
support of this argument proper evidence is, in the Cisco’s survey it is seen that out of 2000
employees, 69% of the workers noted higher productivity, while 75% of the workers pointed
improvement in the timelines of their work within the company due to the implementation of
virtual teamwork (Zagelmeyer et al., 2018). The company will also be benefited by the wide
availability of talent due to reducing of stress level. This means the company will not be bounded
by one geographical place to look for talented skills within the workers regarding manage any
crucial marketing issue or to enhance marketing performance globally that results in dividing the
work pressure. To support this statement, in an experiment it is seen that 82% of the workers

report lower stress level because virtual team helps in dividing the work pressure between the
worker in a group that results in higher morale among the workers (Coombs, 2015). The
workers also work harder when they are happy with their efficiency and talents. Again, it also
helps the company to avoid wastage of time that means the company is not needed to arrange too
many meetings to make a correlation between the staffs or managers from different geographical
locations to implement a new strategy, grab customers globally, launching new products
internationally and many more. Perhaps those meetings can be done within a short time with the
help of the latest communication technology. Hence a supportive statement is according to
Harvard Business Review, and it is seen that remote workers tend to become more engaged with
their colleagues and supervisors than in office workers, it results only due to the availability of
technological solutions that helps employees to stay connected with video conferencing (Men,
2014). The company will also be benefited to meet the satisfaction of the customers regarding
their services by 24 hours service facility. With the establishment of the virtual team from
different time zones, the company can work 24*7 hours that helps in boosting the company's
revenues. In favor of this statement, the co-founder of Signity Solutions said that digital
communication technology is a platform that allows the big or small companies in delivering
high-quality services in the space of digital enablement through various apps, web and many
more for the reach of critical – extent (Zulch, 2014). The most benefit that the company will get
with the adaptation of virtual marketing team is flexibility. That means the company can work
best which increases the quantity and quality of work because virtual teams usually work on a
project deadline basis and thus more consistent and productive. To support this statement,
several research carried out in the previous year’s shows a study of 80 international software
teams, executed by BCG as well as WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (Koschmann
and McDonald, 2015). Moreover, this study shows that widely-spread, well-managed virtual
teams have resulted in outperforming those workers that share an office.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that the adaptation of Virtual marketing team helps the Managing
Director of XYZ Company at various stages. It helps the company to fully utilize the employee’s
working talents located at different geographical locations to get better result of productivity. It
also reduces the stress level by distributing the pressure of work as well as also helps in learning
new things due to gather of different individuals’ perspective at a common platform.
