PART 4
Project Risk Analysis and Plan
Risk identification framework is designed by Virtucon Consultancy to ensure that
uncertainty or risk is determine, measure, monitor, control and report properly. Identification of
risk is very essential for firm as it eliminates the possibility of human bias, combine diverse
perspectives from across the firm and enables for more holistic image risk environment and its

associated impacts (Charter, 2017). This process involves engaging stakeholders of firm and
undergoing a organized information collection and assessment efforts which is continual at
regular intervals. Risk identification factors includes 5 steps which are defined below:
Identification of key stakeholders across the firm: The mistake of assigning task of
determining, evaluating and dealing with risk to a particular area of firm. Risk in an organisation
is a wide issue that can arise anywhere within the firm. Stakeholders involved in this process
must engage key leaders, finance, human resource, marketing communications, compliance with
the exposure to sensitive data or information. In developing I-Crop mobile application, the main
risk in this is legal requirements (Fryer Jr, 2012).Various legal requirements requires to be fulfil
by Virtucon Consultancy which makes the procedure so long. Firm requires to compliance with
several laws made by government related to application development such as data protection and
privacy, advertising law etc. If firm not follow and fulfil the legal requirements, it is not able to
carry out project successfully. Government requires to provide such platform to organisations
which deals in area of developing mobile application by which they can get clearance easily. It is
required by the legal department of firm to have proper knowledge about laws and regulations.
The strategy of management for reducing this risk is to hire such a staff which have sound
knowledge of all laws so that firm have the capability to easily cope up with this.
Collect information from stakeholders: Collection of information generally occurs by
various approaches involving one to one interview, survey, work sessions and focus groups.
Diversity of participations and cross organisation approach will uncover different views of risk
as well as costs associated with them. The risk for Virtucon Consultancy in this step is lost of
data. Now a days, firms use cloud storage for saving data. But, increasing cyber crime may
results in data lost (Gintis, 2012). If company save its project related data on cloud storage than
there is high risk of stealing data. In order to overcome this risk, the strategy formulated by
management of Virtucon Consultancy is to use anti virus and anti malware software in their
systems. Use of such software assists firm in protecting or preserving their data of being stealing
through cyber crimes.
Inventory and analyse the risk: In wide strokes, this must involve an inventory of all
data that is available, the way it is collected, where it store, who has access to it as well as how it
is accessed. It the risk evident across four dimensions, then this step also outlines the impact. The
4 dimensions includes financial, operational, compliance and reputation (Winters, 2012). There
9
Document Page
is a risk for Virtucon Consultancy of breach of contract. Application and software development
process can be notoriously unpredictable. The firm never sure that how long the project or
application is going to take and what obstacles the company is going to face during the
development process of application (Goodyear-Ka'opua, 2013). However, if Virtucon
Consultancy agreed on something in contract with Globex Corporation that it unable to deliver
on, then the client company is not happy with their product which results in financial losses and
also negatively impact on reputation of firm. The best strategy for management of Virtucon
Consultancy to overcome this risk is to ensure to have watertight contract which is drawn up by
expert lawyer. They also needs to invest in professional indemnity insurance in order to cover
any fine, legal cost and fiscal losses, if firm do face a claim.
Rate and prioritize risk: Various approaches are there to rating risk from which some are
simple and some are more involved. In this, the risk for Virtucon Consultancy is shut down of its
operations. For instance: if the firm rates compliance high than any other dimension, it gives an
ability to its owner to shut down its operations if any unethical activity is done within
organisation. The optimal method will rely completely on unique needs of company, the location
where it operates and nature of its business. At this situation, all stakeholders must sign off and
approve on outcomes and decisions (Hogg and Bushell, 2017). It is often the most challenging
part of procedures as some stakeholders (compliance and finance) will be more habitual to take
accountability for how risks or issues are going to be managed. In order to overcome this risk
and run operations smoothly, strategy for management of Virtucon Consultancy is to formulate
appropriate policies regarding ethical working and convey it to all the employees within
organisation in an effective way. It is necessary to ensure that all individuals are following
ethical policies so that effective outcomes can be gain. Potential response of this strategy is that
all the operations and activities of company related to development of I-Crop mobile application
will be carried out in ethical manner and enables management to attain desired objective.
Address and dispose: After all the threats or risks are classified, a determination is made
in final step that are we going to evaluate, mitigate or transfer risk? Once all the risks are
identified, firm address these and put their whole efforts on working towards how to overcome
those. During this stage, the controls of organisation and accreditation of those control
performance come into action. On the basis of what the firm decides to do regarding identified
risk, it is important to decide that what controls are put into action as well as ensure that those

controls are work as intended. In this step, the risk for Virtucon Consultancy is that if the
management is unable to identify risk or threat in appropriate manner, then they are not able to
address and dispose it in an effective way. This will negatively impact on the entire procedure of
building application. So, it is very essential for management of firm to carefully identify all the
associated risks related to development of I-Crop application and address those by applying
suitable strategy to overcome this risk (Kloppenborg, Tesch and Manolis, 2014). Strategy for
management of Virtucon Consultancy to overcome this threat is to provide managers with
appropriate tools and techniques and also gives them proper training to use those. This enables
them to use the tools in proper way and measure the extent of risk. It helps managers of Virtucon
Consultancy in addressing the risk in appropriate way and overcome it.
Above mentioned are the five steps that the management of Virtucon Consultancy
requires to be follow for identification of risk. It helps them in formulating appropriate strategies
accordingly and implementing those so that the risks can be overcome.
PART 5
Quality Management Plan
Quality Management Plan states the acceptable quality level which is defined by
customers. It also depicts how project will assure this this quality level in its work processes and
deliverables. This plan provides directions to program manager and team members of project to
implement quality management and assurance activities for a program or project (Leach, 2014).
This plan helps management of Virtucon Consultancy in determining quality policies and
procedures related to I-Crop application development project for its processes and deliverables.
The main purpose for developing this plan is to ensure delivery of high quality I-Crop
application to client which provides value to them in terms of saving time and cost.
For ensuring the delivery of quality application, some set of verification and validation
activities could be implemented by management of Virtucon Consultancy which are defined
below:
Verification activities:
Verification refers to the process of assessing intermediary work products of application
development life cycle to check the accuracy or correctness of final product. The set of activities
includes in verification process of I-Crop application are defined below:
11
Document Page
Peer reviews are perform by Virtucon Consultancy for I-Crop mobile application.
Verification is done for selected work product. Standardize specific process by framing policies of organisational level for planning and
performing reviews.
Validation activities:
Validation refers to the process of developing documentary evidence depicting that an
activity, process or procedure is carry out in testing and the expected level of compliance is
maintained by production at all stages. The set of activities includes in validation process of I-
Crop application are defined below:
Virtucon Consultancy validate that techniques used for developing I-Crop application is
suitable to requirements.
Firm ensure that when the process of validation is being executed, it is continuously
monitor and control by management.
Doing learnt activities and gather the improvement information.
Institutionalize a definite process.
PART 6
Closure and evaluation of project
As per the view point of Stephanie Ray, 2017, A project charter is defined as a statement
of objectives, scope and people who are engaging in project. It starts the procedure of defining
roles and functions to those individuals and outlines the goals and objectives of project. It also
determines main stakeholders and states the authority of project manager (Maul and McClelland,
2013). Charter for a project acts as a guideline or road map for future projects and an essential
material in knowledge management system of an organisation as well. It documents the rational
for undertaking project and outlines its objectives and constraints. It works as a tool that enhance
the processes of project management.
As per the view point of Jack Marchewk, Measurable Organisational Value (MOV) is the
measure of success and failure of project in terms of its desired impact. Each MOV is the
verifiable and agreed to measure that indicates the value of project's results in light of goal of an
organisation. The criteria for measurable organisational value is that each decision of project
12
Document Page
must be take after considering its impact on measurable and verifiable firm's values. It must be
measurable in terms of success for stakeholders of project and provides some value to
organisation. If MOV acts as success measure, then it should be verified at the end.
According to the view point of Lavanya and Malarvizhi, 2018, Risk analysis and
management of project is the key practice to ensure that less number of risks occur during the
project is underway (Pritchard, 2013). Application of this increase the possibility of successful
completion of project and declines the consequences of risk. Effective identification and
management of risk secures the accomplishment of project objectives and leads to reduce rework
cost. It is the control of possible events of future that may pose negative impact on overall
project. Analysis of risk involves sequence of processes of planning, analysis, identification and
controlling of project risk.
Development of closure checklist of project:

CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that a charter for project refers
to the formal document that defines about project objectives, the way it carry out and its
stakeholder. Measurable organisational value is the aspect which is utilized to measure success
of project and what value it provides to firm. In developing any project, it is necessary for

management to identify all the possible risks that may occur while undertaking a project. This
identification helps manager in reducing the chances of risk and increasing possibilities of
success. Validation and verification activities needs to be carry out to ensure accuracy of
application and its success.
