2VISIONARY LEADERSHIP AT GENERIC GROUP
Question 1
Visionary Leaders can easily bring a huge number of changes by complete designing of
new future for the organization instead of setting up organizational improvement. Generic group
stands out to be a technology incubator whose come vision was changing intangible into a
tangible (Zhou et al. 2018). Generic group comes up with a design approach and vision which
has been created and implemented by an individual who highlights clarity. Also, this also focuses
on judgment, commitment to overall success. A person who can easily stand apart from all the
others.
Dreams were considered to be an excellent picture of the upcoming day. But if it is a
wish, then difference in between dream and vision. The vision is just a dream on steroids, it is
the dream with real-meaning and purpose (Ateş et al. 2018). The main target is all about
motivating the individual; it is the main reason behind the individual. It is the main thing which
keep the individual going. Whether an individual remember the dream or not. It acts like the
natural way which acts like a window into the unconscious mind (McDougall and Coleman
2018). The point should be noted that dreams are images, sound, voice, and subjective sensation
for possible resolution and concern. It comes up with unlimited possible experiences that can
change the mind which an individual can imagine.
It does not mean that in the morning, when an individual gets up and decides to change
dream into action. Without being clear of the purpose, it merely motivates an individual who the
main reason is being clear on this (Kadir, Adebayo and Abayomi 2020). It is very much
important to complete the dream just by remaining a dream. It is very much vital to understand
the things motivate the individual.

Question 2
There are some vital points in which a vision that is being shared stands out to be bit
powerful as the organization driver. This is not shared and is completely owned by a single
person or even just few person (Nwachukwu et al. 2017). The second point is that creating a
vision shared by different stakeholders. It merely requires various people like managers,
employees, investor, local community, customer or client, and suppliers. It merely entails certain
thing which require their involvement in the whole method of creating the vision.
Vision comes describes that some achievement or even future state which the firm wants
to accomplish (Dhammika 2016). A vision needs to be shared in order to order to what it is
meant to be, which inspires, clarify, and focus on work. There is a list of steps in order create
vision with the organization like
Starting with Dream: The very step requires boldness where leaders require,
anticipating, and taking a risk (Chen and Chen 2018). They need to see big dream where other
people consider this like obstacles. In order to create a proper vision, a leader needs to adopt
mindset and takes into account all other options.
Reflecting on Values: The next step in building a shared vision which completely relates
to the overall goals (Jones, Harrison and Felps 2018). The main answer for each is all about the
identification of some core ideology for a proper sharing of vision.
Building future strategies: It is very much important find the biggest opportunities for
closing the gap in between vision and present reality (Tantalo and Priem 2016). There is need for
developing a shared vision that will meet all the needs of stakeholders. It is very much adaptive
to create a competitive strategy in the industry.

Developing Communication Plan: In order to change the vision to change into reality, it
is very much important to evaluate not what it says but also how it is created. Communication
stand out to be vision, which is integral and take a step to break the whole process (Tallis et al.
2018). A share vision needs to be communicated in day-to-day action and behavior for making
difference in the organizational performance.
Question 3
There is need for doing this in order to ensure that not one-off can exercise. Any leader
with the organization can easily create a state which can explain the vision in just five minutes or
even less than that. Any of the vision can be continuously reiterated, discussed and clarified. It is
completely reinforced by association of this with the work objectives, activities and day-to-day
events (Ansari 2018). Coming up with CEO as the standup stage in the front of the employee
audience, which come up with high-tech audiovisuals. They try to sell their vision in an
Orwellian way similar to not work and may even require counter-production.
The main point behind the success of the organization comes from the power of its
vision. The success of organization merely depends on the solid vision for the upcoming days. It
merely requires an engaged team which focus on changing vision into reality (Taiwo, Lawal and
Agwu 2016). The clear statement vision help the organization to run efficiently. It merely keeps
each and every individual on the same platform.
Reinforce the company vision by vision by tying to team and individual goals: The
vision statement of the organization needs to be completely tied for most of the employees.
Setting up the vision of the company will make this an integral part for day-to-day experiences

(Ateş et al. 2018). From the employees to CEO of the company, needs to push the company
towards achieving the desired goal.
Promoting vision of Organization by making it visible: The vision statement of the
organization needs to be focal point. In order to keep the employees visible, this needs to be
completely concise and relatable to each and every employee at various level.
Question 4
This particular statement comes up with opposing views. Some people say that a vision
should be able to be easily achievable for motivating most of the people. On the contrary, some
people say it needs to completely out of reach something important for striving (McDougall and
Coleman 2018). The point should be noted that the discussion ends on the point that a vision
needs to be attainable with respect to current times. It merely focuses on the ability of the
individual to complete adopt to the changing times.
The best vision is completely insight and most wanted vision for getting into the
foresight. The business vision is required to zoom into the future of business which require a list
of strategy. A vision needs to be attainable on the subject of present times and its overall ability
to adapt with the changing times (Kadir, Adebayo and Abayomi 2020). If the business set up
completely unrealistic vision then it will be bad for morale and ultimately becomes a negative
motivator. People consider vision attainable so that they can put effort in order to get there.
Vision without any kind of strategy is considered as day-dreaming while strategy without
vision is completely blinded. This particular strategy makes the vision to completely happen.
Strategy stand out to be bit complex concerning statement and needed for making certain choices
(Nwachukwu et al. 2017). It merely motivates on the creation of the project and complete vision

of this. A vision is something where an individual wants to go on the contrary, a goal that pushes
in the direction of that vision. Like other things in business, all the required goals need to achieve
but it is not that much easy.
Question 5
Gordon Edge founded the Generic group along with clarity in the vision of creating the
wealth by making use of technology. In the year 2001, Cambridge based ideas factory has gained
a reputation on global platform not only for technological consultation. It mere focus on
changing the brainwaves into business (Dhammika 2016). In the year 1986, the organization
come up with the plan to make investment in more than 40 organization in various areas like
biotechnology, material engineering. Generic was valued at more than 220 million when floated
in the year 2000.
At the headquarters of generic, employees from different domains like biotechnology and
engineering worked togetherly. Most of the employees are encouraged to make personal
investment in a spin-off for companies. The vision of edge for his organization was so much
strong that culture, strategy and organization completely remained even after the fourteen years
(Chen and Chen 2018). The point should be noted that only the size was different. The secret
behind leadership success was recruiting people who are genuinely believed to be better than
yourself.
A vision without any purpose is completely doomed to fail. In order to have a vision, this
needs to be translated first into particular mission or purpose for the company. After this, there is
needs which require to change into particular goals or objectives and action plan. Generic group
need to understand that it is good habit and practice for creating and sustaining the vision (Jones,
