INTRODUCTION
Visitors attraction constitutes sites of country that is accessed by person in sight seeing
activities either electronically, physically or by other means. These places are visited by large
numbers of visitors to enhance their knowledge and be a part of development of historical
civilisation. Tourists are having major role in management of visitors attraction as these are the
major motive forces to regulate governmental and other agency action in maintaining beauty of
these site seeing location (Ab Karim and Chi, 2010). These tourist destinations are the ultimate
source of revenue generation for government of UK thorough enhancing tourism in country. UK
Country is one of the most visited country by tourist location in order to explore their
knowledge, experience, variety of cultural differences and interest. VisitBritain is national
tourism industry who is engaged in development of types of visitors attraction along with
managing continuous visit of tourist in country.
In this specific assignment, student will able to explore various types of destination in
UK that are explored with different interest of tourist. This assignment also brief about the role
of government in managing visitors attraction effectively in order to enhance revenue generation
through tourism sector. This report will also discuss about different kind of motivation through
which tourist are attracted towards these sites.

1.1 Types of visitors attraction.
Tourist destination are the hub of various visitors attraction in countries that motivates
visitors to make travel arrangement for exploration of their knowledge and experience. The
tourist destinations provides an motive to be involved in spending leisure time by providing
various quality services to them. Tourist destination are of many kind depending upon the source
of these places (Barros and et.al., 2011). This types and development of these location are also
depending upon its ownership. Most of these destinations are not being constructed to be an
product of tourism industry. These are either developed naturally or is having man made origin.
This also affects management strategies of VisitBritain de[ending upon need of its sustainable
development of natural sites and management of resources of human made places. The most
visited tourist attraction is located on bank of Thames river i.e. London eye. This is one of

famous places that is visited by huge number of tourist annually that constitutes about 3.5 million
people annually. This location is not made primarily to attract visitors.
Tourists destination can be natural or man made depending upon its origin. While this
can also be categorised on the basis of ownership of site. The ownership is whether public like
London eye, forts and monuments or private like casino, amassment parks etc. This may be
having ownership from charity or voluntary firm (Cellini, 2011). Places may be of various types
depending upon its authority like national, international, regional or local. Tourist attraction also
categorised according to different admission means like access of these places is paid or free.
Natural destination: These are destinations are location which are not formulated by any
human interference. These are developed by nature and have origin from bioecological activities
of earth. This constitutes beauty and charm of earth largely. These national authority maintain
beauty of these location through sustainable development of sites. These locations are accessed
by tourist in order to get relief from busy scheduled of life and enjoy natural environment.
Natural visitors attraction are like lakes, oceans, mountain, beaches, island, rivers, coral reefs,
forests and volcanos etc. These are the beauty of earth which is result of a continuous biological
changes in earth environment. Activity that person are being involved in while accessing these
natural sites of country are like long walking, hiking, river drafting, mountain climbing etc.
These sites requires less efforts from the natural authority in its management as this naturally
regulated and requires less involvement of staff and other person. For sustainable development of
these destinations VisitBritain resources to decrease human interference at types places. This
requires low funding in management of natural tourist destinations. Various destination like
mountains, beaches, wildlife centuries re some of the natural attractions in UK.
Man made visitors attraction: These places are having origin from human activities.
These are developed from man made sources. Human is involved in formulation of various
location of country in visitors attractions to regulate revenue generation from tourism sector. The
man made destination are two types depending upon motives behind its establishment i.e. is
primarily established as tourist destination or not developed as visitors attraction as a product of
tourism sector (Coghlan, 2012). The various zoos, botanical garden, casino, art galleries are
established to attract visitors by targeting different interests of people. While others are not
established by human in order to attract tourist. These are formed for any another purpose but
due to huge interest of people in these location converted them into visitors attractions. This kind

of man made visitors attraction includes castle, monuments, forts etc. These are the reflection of
cultural development of country England is having a great story of its civilization which can be
seen in various forts, castle and monument of state. This constitutes heritage visitors attraction of

traveller resulting in exploitation of their interest through this man made visitors attraction.
British museum is having great collection of heritage, cultural and cultivation development
history of country.
Event attraction: This is recent modification in types of tourist destinations. This
involves various events that are organised in various location in different country. This can be
national or international event that attracts large number of tourist interests. Popularity of these
events depends upon preferable interest of visitors. This is of having specific time period. Large
number of tourist are engaged in visiting these places in order to enjoy cultural, and festive
season of different places. These events can be having admission fees and variety of ownership.
This can be developed by international authority or national level authority. This may have
ownership of some private institutions or some charity. This destination requires higher
involvement of managing staff and providing a good quality of services to tourist who travel to
these places in order to explore experience, knowledge and their interest. The event attraction ion

mostly likely to travel frequently as compared to large families. These are involved in
