Executive Summary
This paper will be focussing on a new communication plan in a consulting company. The
communication plan is proposed to mitigate the issues and challenges of the existing
communication plan. As the plan involves the use of the stakeholders of public sector there
were many issues such as ineffective database, ineffective data health plan. The proposed
plan is stated in such a way that the desired results are easily obtained from the plan. The plan
is developed and will be implemented in such a way that it can be extended in future which
was not possible in the existing communication plan.

Introduction
The prime determination of this report is to focus on the current communication plan
of a consulting company as a project manager. The report will be evaluating the current
communication plan with the future communication plan [3]. The competency between the
future and the current communication plan of this consultancy is maintained in such a way so
that the proposed plan can be effectively implementing in the consulting company [4]. The
justification of the recommendation is also stated in a professional way in the later units of
the report.
Current project communication plan:
The current project communication plan which is being used in this consultancy has a
significant number of limitations which has been identified, this unit of the report will be
focussing on the current plan [2]. The tracking system which is integrated into the
information system of the consulting company have few issues which are having a negative
impact on the effectiveness of the existing information systems. The information system
cannot be updated as the business situations are changing every time, the updated public
health data plan is not properly utilised in the information systems [5]. The drawbacks of the
data are also a considered as a problem of the information system. There are compatibility
issues between the state database and the database of the County Health Department. There
are privacy issues also associated with the integrated tracking systems. The communication
management issue is also a point of concern for this consulting organisation.
There are two dedicated IT engineers associated with this project and an
epidemiologist who oversees the project [6]. The information requirement along with the
business processes and the relationship between the different types of internal and external
stakeholder are maintained by the employees involved in this project. The team members are

well equipped with lots of experience in working on different modules with the healthcare
industry such as the maintenance of the database of the communicable diseases. The
communication plan which is proposed in this paper can be effective used in any consulting
company.

There should a bidirectional feedback platform for all the employees [2]. There will
be two principal modules such as the admin module and the user module each having specific
specifications.
Considering resources:
The designing can be done with the help of the MySQL server, the experienced
dedicated team which are used in the existing communication plan can also be implemented
in this plan also. A one time investment is required by the management team of this
consulting organisation.
Plan for obstacles and emergencies:
Resistance to change can be an issue, to tackle with this issue an awareness campaign
would be conducted before the new communication plan is incorporated.

Create an action plan:
The communication plan will be incorporated in two phases. The first phase of the
plan will be conducted on a smaller team and an assessment report will be prepared with the
findings of the first phase. After that, the second phase of the communication plan will start
which will be considering the total organization as a whole.

The existing communication plan will be compared with the help of the waterfall
model. The which is widely accepted throughout the world. The requirements of the patients
and the other essential stakeholders are evaluated before the incorporation of the information
system [3]. The designing of the information system is based on the two types of databases
such as the state database and the database of the County Health Department. The activities
followed in the case study involving the informative system such as the tracking of the
specific information systems and inefficient health data plan. The proposed plan with be
having the capability to address those issues. The problems regarding the database can also
be significantly reduced with the new plan. The tracking of the infectious diseases will be
conducted with much more professionalism with the help of the proposed communication
plan. Effective sessions need to be conducted so that the resistance to change can be dealt
properly. However, there are plenty of challenges related to this technology as stated by the
many other author. Contradicting view are there regarding the different new proposed plan as
new investments will be a huge matter of concern for the management team. On the other
hand, it can be said that the new plan will also require time, and time is considered as an asset
in most of the consulting organisations. New project management strategies are need to be

considered by the consulting firm so that the effectiveness of the plan can be achieved as
desired.
Information system has different types of issues and challenges related to it. The
verification phase of the waterfall model is successfully implemented in the information
system as well in this consulting organisation [4]. The hospital authorities provide huge
maintenance to their clients with the help of the information systems and the issues related to
the system are acting as a barrier against the progress of the organisation. There are different
opinions about the challenges faced by the consulting corporation as many of them considers
these challenges as way by which the productivity of the organisation can be achieved. The
waterfall model can be used to known the working principle of this organisation in a better
way and the flaws associated with each phase can be revised these challenges also have a
positive aspect.
Recommendations
The working principal of the public sector projects are completely different from the
working principal of the private sector industries. The approach required for both the
different types of industries are completely different as the cast flow of the public sector
projects are controlled during the initial phases only whereas in the private sector industries
the cash flow depends upon the immediate needs and requirements of the projects. The
stakeholders of the public sector projects involve government officials, government agencies,
government contractors, it can be said that there are different type of security and privacy
issues related to the stakeholders of the public sector projects [1]. So it is highly
recommended to select appropriate stakeholders so that the productivity of the project is
maintained. Selection of the appropriate stakeholders is one the key aspects of public sector
projects. The communication plan should be different in both public run projects and as well

as in private run projects. The incorporation of the new plan should be based on two phases
as discussed above so the desired outcome of the plan is maintained. The first phase should
be considered with the experienced employees of the organization as they are more used to
the system and the second phase should be considering all the available employees of the
organization. So the existing communication plan should be revised completely so that the
challenges and issue related with it can be solved purposefully.
Justification
The proposed new communication plan between the stakeholders of this business
organization can be effectively used due to its enhanced security coverage and more
effectiveness than the existing communication plan which had lots of challenges associated to
it.
Conclusion
From the above report, it can be concluded that there are different types of issues and
challenges related to the existing communication plan of this consulting organization. The
issues related to the existing communication plan has been identified in this paper like it have
no provision for future expansion according to the needs and requirements, issues in its
databases as it linked with the public sector databases, ineffective tracking systems and
ineffective data health plan and based upon these issue an effective communication plan has
been proposed with enhanced specifications. The resources such as advanced systems and
improved connectivity and stakeholders such as contractors and sponsors will be required for
implementation of the proposed communication plan. These resources and stakeholders will
be very much useful for the project manager of this consulting company for the
implementation of the plan. The new communication plan will be covering the needs and
requirements of all the stakeholders associated with this business organisation, it will provide

job security to all the stakeholders as well as provide adequate security to the management
teams of the organisation.
