Business essentials are the elements which are needed in company for their growth and
increasing market share among competitors. It helps company to make better plan for their
success. There are many factors analysed before the implementation of some change in company
(Ebert and et.al., 2014). Vodafone Group PLC is a mobile communications company dealing
with around 30 countries and 50 partner networks worldwide.
Important factors to consider before implementation
There are many factors which are needed to be analysed before the implementation of
plan. Business essentials help company to evaluate and understand macro environmental factors.
One of the models helpful for same is PESTLE analysis which includes factors like: Political factors- There are many changes in cartel process of Vodafone. This has
affected their stable political environment. In cartel process, company regulates the
business activities with their suppliers. Economic factors- Brexit has resulted in the uncertain economy. This has deeply
impacted the business operations and activities of Vodafone. Social factors- Vodafone fulfils all its social responsibilities. They provide services
keeping in mind the needs and convenience of people which helps them to make society
grow (Vodafone group SWOT and PESTLE analysis, 2017). They want to make well and
improved economy digitally. Technological factors- Vodafone is working on increasing and improving their
technology. They are working for introducing 5G in the market. Legal factors- There are many issues faced by company in their legal environment. They
are communicating with government to make their tax rows easier to be settled. Environmental factors- Company works in direction of making safe and secured
environment in the world. They have vision to cause the least harm to environment.
Challenges of BYOD to IT network
Vodafone Group PLC has allowed their employees to bring own device at the workplace
(Anderson and et.al., 2014). They can use their personal gadgets for the working and business
operations of company. Organisation can face many challenges because of this working style.

Leak of important information- Information which is confidential for company can be
leaked to their competitors by using personal devices of employees. This can lead to
many problems. Company can face losses due to leak of their important information.
Careless behaviour- Employees can become careless towards their work. They will use
most of their time in entertaining themselves by talking with families and friends through
personal devices. They will waste their and company's time by doing these activities.
These are challenges which can be faced by Vodafone because of their working style of
using bring your own device for employees in the premises of business. These challenges can put
a very bad impact on the activities or workings of organisation (Bovée and Thill, 2013). They
can face losses due to the same. It can also decrease their market share which is important to
have sustainable business performance. Thus, it can be said that company needs to think about
ways which can solve risks or challenges faced by business so as to remain in competition for
longer span of time.
