operations as well. The present study is dependent on examining the multinational influence on the host
country business environment. For the present project, Vodafone is taken as the lead MNC that offers
telecommunication networking facilities in areas of Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa that reflects the
opportunity for Germany as well. The organization has more than 5 million customers across the world
due to this they always support expansion strategies to meet competitive advantages. The present project
is also based on business environment impact of the host country in a positive and negative way both. In
addition, the project will discuss the tools, methodology, literature review, data analysis and findings on
the topic accordingly.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Project is concerned as the interconnections of activities that are required to close in the fixed period on
decided cost and to consider various limitations. Project management is linked with several practices of
business such as planning, implementing, controlling and finishing it on time (Kerzner and Kerzner,
2017). The project shall design multiple objectives and aims, and overall, it will be carried on the project
management plan basis.
Project title: How does Vodafone impacted business environment of Germany?
Project aim: Current aim of the project is to analyze the Vodafone effect on Germany’s economy,
environment and society.
Project objective: For gaining a useful understanding of the project and on this concern the manager of
the project has developed three four objectives. The objectives are mentioned below:-
• To have an understanding of the business environment impact on Germany
• To examine the economic effects of Vodafone operation line on Germany in 2020
• To examine the social effects of Vodafone operation line on Germany in 2020
• To examine the environmental effects of Vodafone operation line on Germany in 2020
Rationale of the project
Being the project leader, the present topic will give an understanding of the economic, social and
environmental factors impact on Vodafone business operations in Germany. Various small businesses
are offering similar kind of services that may influence with the Vodafone entry in Germany market on a
big scale (Pattnaik et.al. 2015). Project is being carried out with appropriate use of approaches and tools
for project completion with decided time.

P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality, communication,
risk and resources
Scope: The scope of the project is dependent on examining the Vodafone influence on the economic
situations of Germany. Social factor influence can be seen as an individual will get effective
telecommunication services by having good quality communication in their locations. Economic
German environment can be seen in both manners positive as well as negative that results in high GDP
that is positive and negative means local businesses can be influenced that might lower down the sales
(Teixeira and Gr, 2012). Vodafone will purchase the land and other resources for setting up of offices.
Environmental situations can impact adversely. But the overall project is required to be finished on time
with the existing resources.
Resources: The project needs both tangible and non-tangible resources that will increase the project
quality and will support to get the expected results. For this, it needs a project with the use of software
and hardware tools. Few of the resources also involve paper, printer, laptop and other additional items.
Furthermore, for having an understanding of the environment, secondary resources are also needed that
involves online websites, books, journals etc. The primary collection of data is being conducted with the
support of the questionnaire that will gather the respondent’s data. For project completion on time, the
next task will create work break down structure and Gantt chart.
Structure: The pure project structure is more suitable as it supports decision making and controlling
that lies in project manager hands. The project will be dependent on the sequential process for entire
completion (Heagney, 2016). Quality can be met through making effective decisions so that confusion in
the project can be overcome.
Timescale: It is important to set the time for every project activity as it results in the right submission.
As the project leader, I made the efforts to include every member and communicate about the present
objective and for the task that is required to be finished on time. The project will need a minimum of 6
weeks that includes all the project activities as per requirements and accomplishing with the project
activities. Furthermore, Gantt chart and WBS will be strictly used in designing in the next section.
Communication matrix: Project cannot be finished solely; it needs the team support and proper
distribution of duties for project completion. On this concern, the meeting is taken and stakeholder
involvement for delivering the quality results. The project manager has majorly distributed the activities

collection, a questionnaire is being applied as the tool of communication to achieve the aims and

Risk: This is one of the significant factors that are important for the manager in identifying and
managing. The main risk is that the team is not ready to take the step during the project activities. Team
member leaves the team with a particular reason. Another reason involves excess resource use and
budget (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). Another risk also encompasses the viruses that happen in software
that can result in data loss. This type of risk is to be kept in mind and the project manager has the duty to
consider the positive response to finish the project by eliminating all the relevant factors of risk.

WBS categorise the activities on the base of various small activities that are useful in managing the
project in time and managing the cost. The present project is conducted according to offer resources and
also to meet various objectives. It majorly assures the activities are distributed appropriately and it is
finished on time (Devi and Reddy, 2012). On the other side, the Gantt chart allows to carry out the
activities on the date decided that will support performance monitoring. Resource quality is increased,
and distribution is made to meet the chosen objectives and aims.

M1, D1 Produce a comprehensive project management plan, milestone schedule and project schedule
for monitoring and completing the aims and objectives of the project
With the support of the plan, a systematic procedure is being applied, and each stage is being usefully
monitored for meeting the research quality outcome. Every activity set is being finished on the
appropriate timeframe to achieve the project quality and performance. Along with that project is
accordingly managed as per the Gantt chart and project milestone. The project assets and resources are
being used that will support in meeting the direct objectives and aims of the project ( Kerzner, 2018).
The resources are required to be managed with time and according to the cost to meet the end objectives.
It is also necessary that the project is being used that will support in meeting the project aims and
objectives.

P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods appropriate
for meeting project aims and objectives
Existing research is to be conducted with the assistance of mentioned research methods that is
qualitative and quantitative by examining the business environment impact on Vodafone business in
Germany. In use of qualitative data; articles, web journals, books have been applied for data collection
for meeting the outcomes of the research (Sharp et.al. 2017).
Qualitative research- Literature review
Vodafone is the leading organization working multinational and it's headquartered is in London, UK and
serving globally with providing telecommunication services. Vodafone has own network in majorly 25
countries and other networks in 47 cities of the world. It is majorly popular for providing speedy internet
services and also faces major ups and downs in competitive market operations. For business expansion
in a useful way, the new market is searched by doing high investments to get a high share in the market
and get the revenue.
The entry of Vodafone in Germany market will also improve the BOP (balance of payments) as the
market will see the essential capital flow and it will likely to encourage the substitution of import and
promotion of export. Germany people will analyze the rise in employment opportunities as the entry of
Vodafone will give chances of employment to the local community (Teixeira and Gr, 2012). The
Vodafone profits will also attribute to the local taxes of the government of Germany and it will be a
concern as the useful domestic revenue. Vodafone will offer suitable services and provides local citizens
to gain the services at best affordable prices. In addition, the multinational presence may manage the
Germany national reputation and will be taken as the best place for doing the business that strengthens
economic conditions.
Multinational movements may bring a negative influence on the local market businesses that are dealing
in the Germany market. Through this, Germany can even analyze the negative influence due to
environmental components as the new entry will make efforts to use the country resources in the way
they need that will place a negative influence on environmental aspects. In addition to this, Vodafone is
