Vodafone is a British multinational telecommunications company. Its registered office is located
in Newbury, Berkshire, England and its global headquarters is based in London, England. It
predominantly operates services in the regions of Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. This report
contains issues such as background of the company, details of the strategy used by the company
and their objectives. The key products offered by them. It has also identified the issues of
business that are faced by the department of HR of the company.
MAIN BODY
Background of Vodafone
It is known as Telecommunication firm based within U.K with interest within interest
in United States and Europe. It arises as a part of Racal, an electronics firm and a British radar
founded within they year 1950. In the year 1983, Racal founded is Vodafone subsidiary and in
addition to this won the first cellular network of British was launched within they year 1985.
Vodafone was purchasing various other firm in early 1990s. Hence, building partnership all over
the world. The firm doubled its size within 2000 through getting German industrial A.G founded
by Mannesmann in 1856 to 1922. It was considered as the largest Vodafone's hostile bid that was
resulted within the largest merger all over the world. It has become one of the largest leading
providers regarding the services of telecommunication as well as it also conducted business more
than 30 nations across the world.
Vodafone group provides voice services such as voice roaming ,voice communication as well as
video messaging,data services ,email ,internet and many more. It also provides business
solutions, product services.
Business strategy
Business strategies are the strategies which are made by the organizations to achieve
their set goals and objectives. Strategies provide them proper plan that how they will achieve
their goals and take competitive advantages in the market.

One This which can provide them success and comparative advantages is following new trends.
As per the new trend company is making strategy to launch 5G network which will provide
high internet services and HD voice and video calling to their customers,. Their plan is to adopt
this trends as soon as possible to take comparative advantages, and they can also satisfy the
needs and demand of their customers by providing 5G services which are smooth and fast.
One more strategy which is used by the Vodafone company is their expansion strategy,
and they are looking to expand their business in areas where people are not connected. Those
areas can be Geo graphical areas where ts hard or the companies to reach, but they are
production strategies to reach to those people and provide them facility o they can also connect
with the world and understand what is going in all around the world.
Objectives
In an every business it is necessary for the companies superiors to set the objectives
which they need to achieve to make their business successful and objectives provide growth and
competitive advantages. Similarly, Vodafone company also have objectives , one of them is
profit maximization which is common objective of every company and Vodafone also give
their first priority to maximize profitability and take competitive advantages in the UK market.
Another objectives of the Vodafone company is providing the best possible services to
customers, so they can crate better good experience. They are improving their technology and
innovating their services so their customers can be satisfied and Vodafone can gain their

management helps us to train with the courses of e learning. Training online can be done at their

learning. This will help them to keep and remain busy in their training (Vadavi and Vadavi,
2020).
Managing diversity with local in mind-
The aspect of globalization is affecting business of different areas across the world. The
reach of customer is increased and it has helped to attract the talent that is across the border. This
helps the company to increase the level of sales and with the diversity in their culture they will
be able to share their experience and perspectives. Still there is a challenge with this aspect as
managing people with different cultures are not easy. It is the duty of the HR to make them
understand the policies of law and make the environment comfortable for them so that they do
not engage in conflict with anyone and disrupt their flow of work. Programs that are of culture
and its awareness can help them to understand the importance of diversity with its advantages as
with the help of that they can serve to more customers with innovative methods (Kresak,

From the above studies it has been concluded that HR of the company has to look after many
areas to meet the needs and wants of the customers and maintain the internal flow of work of the
company. It is the duty of the department of the HR to make the environment work friendly so
