Scholar journals is another name of academic source which is considered as periodical
publication, in which scholarship are related to specific academic discipline that is already
published (Lee, 2020). Academic journals are generally determined as transparent as well as
permanent forum used for presenting, discussing as well as scrutiny about research. It is mainly
determined as the documents which are referred as well as peer reviewed related to specific
topic. I am adopting academic sources related to topic volunteering in tourism so that effective
information can be gathered properly. While conducting this I need to find out evidences related
to my abilities to determine academic sources properly. While this I also get to know that there
are several aspects include in academic sources and it is essential for me understand those
aspects while finding sources on volunteering in tourism. In this I need to determine that
academic source must be authoritative, it is determine as sources that recognize through the
expert of particular field as well as that must be authenticate. Next is academic source must be
peer reviewed according to which an expert will read the source as well as check its reliability on
the topic on which I am finding academic sources i.e. volunteering in tourism. In respective way
other academics will evaluate the sources and check the accuracy and authenticity of work. For
this they will mainly evaluate book and journals that are existing.
Along with this, during study about the academic sources I understand that academic
sources are mainly useful and essential for academics related people such as university students,
lecturers, professional and many others. During this I also understand that there are several types
of academic sources through that I can collect information, data and statistics related to my topic
i.e. volunteering in tourism. This will include books, existing or published report, journals
articles and so on like opinion pieces, newspaper articles, magazine articles, websites (Qi, 2020).
During this I able to understand that academic writing mainly use to provide information related
to topic. As it is not considered or include selling things and presenting an individual opinion
independent of evidence or logic. There are main two sources through which I can gather
information related to find academic sources on Volunteering in tourism such as secondary
method as well as primary method. Primary source is first hand collected data which show direct
or origin evidences so that document or research will conducted properly. It is mainly generally
created by an individual who is experienced in specific field. In respect of this researcher may
adopt different methods like interview, questionnaire, survey and many more.

In addition to this, while using academic sources on my topic volunteering in tourism I
can use secondary source which is draw on primary sources conducted before. In respective
source researcher mainly gather information, data and statistics related to topic through existing
sources like books, journals and articles (Wallrodt and Thieme,2020). When a researcher adopt
secondary source they need to identify authenticate as well as reliable information from the
existing sources properly. If I adopt respective source in order to determine sources on
Volunteering in tourism I need to conduct evaluation of existing documents on the similar topic.
Along with this, when I use the academic source related to the volunteering in tourism I
understand that I need to do citation of the information from the sources where I take information
or sources. There are numbers of condition in which a researcher need to conduct citation such as
when I will use quotes or do paraphrase. Moreover I also need to conduct citation of work when
I use other person viewpoint by doing paraphrasing its content. It is so because through that I can
provide authenticity of the information. In addition to this, there are several types of referencing
style which I can adopt according to requirement of project which is done on the topic
volunteering in tourism. The first as well as basis type of referencing style is Harvard style
