System Components
1. Describe your proposed system, and what are the criteria that stand on it (The proposed
system based on what?).
(PS: Use red color to address the underlined and bold requirements in this guidelines)
Acrophobic therapy through the use of Virtual Reality exposure. The proposed system
is based on the DVV (Data Virtualization View) taxonomy. This is a non-invasive and
advanced method that is applied in the treatment of adults that suffer from acrophobia.
Acrophobia is the fear of heights. Through this therapy, the patients are taken through
drills that inspire and motivate them to explore new heights and overcome their fears.
This Project is grounded on a review of latest studies on the concern and we would
analyse further the most applicable elements for the development and substantiation of
such a system. The current system has the issue related to the imagining of traumatic
event. There are less system supports for use of remote virtual reality (e-virtual reality).
The proposed system provides solutions for these issues.
2. What are the inclusion criteria you considered in collecting and analysing your literature?.
How many state of art publications you collected, How many excluded (rejected) and
why. How many you included and why.
(PS: Use red color to address the underlined and bold requirements in this guidelines)
The Search returned 68 results out of which 34 fulfilled our inclusion criteria which is
the delivery of therapy using Virtual Reality for the treatment of Specific Phobias and
no other stress related disorders whether it was a therapist led treatment or an Internet
based self-led therapy. Furthermore, only recent studies were taken into consideration
bearing in mind the constantly changing technology. A number of studies were rejected
while skimming/narrowing for the accurate development of the project and the
rejection criteria was based on several different accounts such as 16 studies discussed
about other stress related disorders, 6 studies were based on Qualitative/Quantitative
analysis and 4 were in foreign language.
3. What are the points you considered in proposing you the components of your model?.
What is the motivation (need) of classifying you each component in your proposed
system?. Show how each will help in your specific domain (JUSTIFY)?.
(PS: Use red color to address the underlined and bold requirements in this guidelines)

The points we considered are as follows;
Data Available/Dimension of the model; either 2D or 3D: Considering the type of data
is available and need to make sure that the ample to support study. Two-dimensional
and Three-dimensional approaches to therapy do not always work in the same manner.
The latter is more effective. However, the former can also be used based on patient
preferences.
The degree of virtual therapy: Virtual reality is not a stagnant element. It is quite
dynamic. Technology also keeps changing quite fast. There is need to devise the best
environment that is proven in recent studies to be more effective towards treating
Acrophobia.
The Delivery of Therapy: The therapist is a doctor. Therapist can offer guidance on a
myriad of aspects that are related to phobias. It is advisable to seek help from qualified
professionals and under their observation, therapy provided can be highly effective to
the patient.
4. What are the components (factors/classes) and sub-components of your proposed
system?. Classify these classes (components), and find their relationship with the
subclasses (sub-components). What is the motivation for bringing each component in
your proposed system. Show the LINK between these components. What are the
attributes for each class and subclass?. Give an example for each class and subclass.
Present the components and classes with their most inherent attributes and the values in
a Table.
Presentthe components of your proposed model, their subclasses and their relations as a
Figure.(Simulate your Proposed Framework)
(PS: Use red color to address the underlined and bold requirements in this guidelines)
Proposed research consists of the Data Virtualization View (DVV) taxonomy. The first
element that is used in proposed study is data. It Incorporates the Patient Specific data set
and the visually processed data set which is derived from the data available/acquired
either pre-session or post-therapy and the only concerned is with the Virtual data object as
the end product of the data processed. The second element that need to take into
consideration is the Virtualization as there is need to formulate the most effective method
for the treatment taking into account the persistent changes in the recent Virtual Reality
technologies and the cost effectiveness of the therapy that is being provided.
Virtualization provide the virtual view to patients and will be provided with virtual
environment. This will lead to better understanding and working. Finally, the
consideration is based on how the data is being perceived/viewed by the patient to ensure
the efficacy or success of the therapy being delivered. The View component will show the
actual level of issue or damage. The components are thoroughly depicted in Table 1.
Which is as follows.

5. What are the steps that you are going to consider in organising the subsections of your
proposed solution?
(PS: Use red color to address the underlined and bold requirements in this guidelines)
The steps involved in organising the subsection depend upon the DVV taxonomy and
justification of each components and their sub components. The components of the
propose system are organised in such a way to achieve the goal with maximum
possibilities. Components and sub components are:
Data-
1. Acquisition Time
2. Data Object
3. Dimensionality
4. Patient Specific Data
5. Pre-session/Post-therapy distress data
Virtualization
1. Type of Virtualization
2. Main tools to be used in the Virtualization process
3. Virtual or simulated environment

Subsections in your System Components section:
Each factor (class) in your classification should has subsection in proposed section,
and each of them should be presented as below:
PS: Working you on this part should be linked to the table of proposed system
components
1. For each subsection, give introductory about that component (factor/class). Show the
subclasses for each. Show the link between this component with other components in
your proposed system, and present it in a diagram.
Data
Data is the key element for our proposed system and all the publications used
different types of data. Consideration is done on two key sub-classes of data:
patient specific data and visually processed data (with raw, derived and prior
knowledge in the lower group). The classes, their subclasses and the key attributes
related respectively are depicted in the Fig 2. Detailed data sets and subsets are
used in the further analysis for better description of all categories of data that may
be presented to the patient or therapist.
Virtualization
Virtualization is the process for creating such environment which seems to be real
but not real. Virtualization create simulation environment which force human mind
to believe it is true. In the proposed system, the sub components included are
Virtualization technique and algorithm used. Virtualization technique are used for
performing virtualization of different level. Algorithms optimized the
virtualization process. These Sub components and their attributes are shown in
figure.
View
View of the system plays a significant role whose combination of display,
perception location and interaction tools help the end user to interact with the
system. The visually processed data that are obtained from the perception location
like patients, display devices etc. interacted with interaction tools of the view to
generate the output for the end user in display equipment. Hardware interaction
tools (monitor, HMD etc.) and virtual interaction tools (change of view/pose,

object properties etc.) interacted with visually processed data. The classes, their
subclasses, their most important attributes and example instances are depicted in
figure 3.
2. What is the purpose of using each component in your classification and link it with
your goal?. What are the motivation of considering the subcomponents (subclasses) in
each of your components (What is the problem that need to be solved).
Justify in details, why you use this factor in your classification. What was the
problem? What the need of this factor (class), … etc.

Data
The purpose of above-mentioned data classifications is to provide a better
awareness to the end user towards the proposed system. Raw therapeutic data is
the first element of the Data set followed by derived data which gives the end user
knowledge about previously verified substantial therapeutic data and lastly, we use
prior knowledge data which ensures that the efficient transformation of raw data
and derived data towards the improvement of the proposed system.
Virtualization
The main purpose of the Virtualization is to provide the Virtual View for
performing the treatment of patients suffering from acrophobia. The Virtualization
technique is used for providing virtual environment at different level. It supports
three level of virtualization - Para Virtualization, Full Virtualization and Nested
Virtualization. The virtual environment will create virtual objects and
surroundings which seems real. The Algorithms used for virtualization will
optimized the virtualization process. Virtualization improve the system
performance and reduce the hardware cost.
View
The main motive of using view as part of taxonomy is to emphasize the
significance of determining how the derived data is disclosed to end user through
output media. With the help of perception location, visually processed data are
obtained which gets interacted with interaction tool to exhibit output to the end-
user through display devices. Different virtual and hardware interaction tools are
used to intermingle with visually processed data which reduces the cost as well as
efforts that need to be put into the procedure by the therapist or the patient by
supplying them with high quality output image that guide them throughout the
therapeutic procedure. Display devices assists to give output to the end user with
rich view and high-quality images. So, while categorising, careful consideration is
taken where and how information is presented to the therapist/patient.
3. Please also make other subsections for each factor that is related to subclasses you
mentioned in table 1.
Data
Raw therapeutic data: It is the raw data related to Therapy which includes Patient data,
degree of phobia, family relations, and DNA.
