Reflective statement

The essay herewith is written to carry out an arguments on wages and their importance in
standard of living. During working on this essay, I learnt many things which are going to support
me in my personal and professional development. Here, in the essay, I discussed about
importance of wages to have good standard of living. The topic was chosen because of its
popularity around the world even, at the time of research I found it as the most happening topic
in current scenario. However, before select it I have researched a lot for available information on
the topic. This essay was written using secondary information, which made me learn about the
importance of literature rewires and reliability of secondary data. To collect the information, I
have used various secondary sources such as books, journals and online articles. The rationale
behind using secondary data is to gather the information on subject area as it is previously
studied by various authors. While looking into speaker’s point of view, I could say that it was
carrying some general aspect, however, as my point of view, there should be a specific
discussion about National Living Wages. To improve the plan, it is important that at least some
solution must be given as I was not agree with the point of minimum wage. I wanted that the first
paragraph must include the important points that could grab the attention of readers. Here, I
quoted both sides of situation related to wages and living standard, hence, I can say that first
paragraph has the most important points.
Further, I can say that, there were some points which were left from the essay plan. These
points were difference between NHW and NLW, it can be included in the essay plan to make it
more effective. The opinion were not clear, throughout the essay as there have been quoted some
position as well as negative points. At many places, a critical comment is made in the situation
which were not showing the clear opinion throughout the essay. Throughout, the secondary
investigation, I came to know that most of the authors have supported minimum wages, however,
some have carried negative points on such. So, I can say that there were many counter
arguments that I have used in this report. I have included that arguments of various authors,
hence the essay is free from any biased opinion.
Throughout the essay, the range of references are used by me to support my arguments
which includes counter arguments of different authors. I finished this essay in a well-structured
manner as I planned to carry paragraph and made a link between each activity. After competing
this essay, I can say that, it has helped me in developing my knowledge in respect with wages

and their importance in standard of living. I came to know about how to make an argumentative
essay. My research skills are improved, during working on this essay that are going to help in
my personal and professional development.
