Wal-Mart store construction
In the growing environment, Wal-Mart team has also decided to expand its business by
opening stores. However, some of the community people stop construction of stores. Being a
member of the company, I would like to inform that it is for the betterment of the community as
the construction will help the community people to get the maximum availability of the
resources. They will be able to avail the services that are offered by the Wal-Mart company
which improve their living standard. Along with this, the community will be able to get the
different benefits which include engagement with the community, relief from the hunger,
benefits of employment, and many others (Wal-Mart, 2020). The company is aware of their role
towards the society and community which is attained by them for the construction of the store.
On the other hand, the leader of the community would oppose the statement by saying
that is not likely to give their places to anyone as they have the fear of losing their identity which
is present with their own ancestors land. The community people argue that the construction of
the store will affect the environment as well as the resources available at that place which is the
only livelihood of the people. Thus, this is the reason due to which they don’t want to give their
land. The possibilities of the ethical issues are corruption that might arise as people will force the
community members to volunteer to give their land and allows for the construction (Lindebaum,
Geddes & Gabriel, 2017). In addition to this, the community might get betrayed by the Wal-Mart
company.
