Sustainability is a process through which an association will lead to facilitate a proper standard

regarding delivery of services. In the modern world, business ventures become responsible

towards consent through which they can maintain the effective level in the community. This

project will focus on “Age of responsibility” a book by Wayne Visser under which major duties

of an association describe properly. This project is based on Walt Disney a famous mass media

entertainment company. They perform effective CSR activities for taking leverage from others.

This research paper will be going to describe benefits to sustainability or CSR while practicing

into an association.

Corporate social responsibility is an essential and important aspect for many business units

Visser, 2016). But with changing course of time, it found that corporate social responsibility
into business, ethics,and governance got failed completely (
Carvalhoand Rabechini, 2017). Thus,
to modify and reverse current standard of social, environmental and ethical trends, various

aspects of CSR is essential to perform by the business venture.

In this context, Walt Disney can use a famous book for CSR which is “Age of responsibility”

through which proper execution of social working gets done. If business performs CSR properly

then they get an appropriate place at desire market world. The new system of CSR defines under

this book also stated as CSR 2.0 which completely reflected on five major principles which are:

Creativity
Responsiveness
Scalability
Glocality
Circularity
Out of all these terms, certain will be going to discuss properly so that Walt Disney can use them

in define manner:

Creativity: Under this principle, business ventures need to be creative in nature. They
have to launch and define new trends and course of the frame with time duration so that

community could take its benefits (
Borsellino, et. al., 2016). Like with the launching of
new theme parks by Disney can successfully implement their social mission. Disney can

take suggestions from employees and stakeholders regarding creativity and design

aspects of the social and environmental standard.

Scalability: This principle describes that the associationneeds to scale up or enhance their
number of products or increase sales. One of a major scale basis problem in regards with

CSR is unemployment rate etc. Thus, to remove and improve employment standard, Walt

Disney can explore their activities so that more and more individuals can take jobs.

Circularity: Under the CSR 2.0 business focus more on circularity under which things
need to modify duration of time. As per the scenario, business associations need to build

more trees, use their own wastewater to produce again and again goods and services.

Walt Disney can create Ecology Parkin which waste output redesign again to become a

useful output.

One of a thing which makes Walt Disney differs from others and responsible in nature is that

they provide free tickets of the park to individuals deliver volunteer services from any

organization. Along with this, their employees give some free time to do social services from

2012 (Business Chief, 2013). Now, Walt Disney crafted their social mission under which

employees need to give more than 5 million hours till 2020 in the social sector so that

community standard would be praised. All these things made Walt Disney an industry leader in

nature. In the year 2010, they helped individuals of Haiti as they suffered from the earthquake.

With such practices, Walt Disney awarded with Jane
Good all Global Leadership Awards for
their responsible steps towards society. Disney also focuses on environmental practices through

motion pictures where education regarding environment leads to provide (Bhasin, 2018). It is an

only business which takes their ethical responsibility on a serious basis so that better and

effective working maintainsthe continuous process.

With such practices, business takes certain benefits like:

Increase in market share
Enhancement of goodwill
Annual sales tend to rises which enables and support in quality work.
All these are major benefits which drawn to Walt Disney and facilitate them toa become market

leader. This results in them in facilitating better and quality growth standard as well.

It clearly found out from this study that a business needs to perform corporate social

responsibility properly so that they become different from others. Moreover, management has to

focus on community development and growth by increasing and introducing more jobs and

opportunities. Every business unit needs to focus on social practices to get benefits and leverage.

Thus, they have to follow CSE 2.0 which defines five principles. All such things facilitate

effective and better growth and development to association sustainability and facilitate

community development.
