of students in their academic lives. Waltham International College is an educational institution
that provides future (FE) and higher education (HE) courses, established in the year 2010 and
headquartered at London. This portfolio report will present an analysis of various academic skills
that could provide confidence to students towards their studies and enhance their positive attitude
towards learning. Moreover, this assignment will discuss about portfolio of student based on
lectures, workshops and activities with the use of presentation and literature review by efficient
means of research.
MAIN BODY
The student portfolio can be explained as an amalgamation of academic works and
educational evidence that are assembled for the purpose of analyzing the quality of course work,
academic achievements and learning process, along with certain requirements of the students to
improve their learning for specific courses in an institution (Student Services., Waltham
International College, 2022). The academic portfolio can be also termed as the collection of the
work of students which shows their efforts, achievement and progress along with the
competencies they have gained during a time of course. The portfolio of Waltham International
College shows the efforts to develop learning of students for a particular duration which gives
information about student development and mastery of skills. The portfolio can also be
considered as a collection of the works of students which contains assignments, complete
examinations, projects, lab assignments and artwork that provides evidence of their academic
accomplishments, learning, skill development etc. The portfolio contains information collection
from different sources such as students, teachers, parents and friends, to take authentic
information about the students and understand them. The portfolio helps to assist evaluation of

The institute is also entrenched with healthcare facilities that are provided by many doctors
and healthcare experts existing in the college to help the students at the time of casualty and
maintain general health standards of the students. The well-being of students' mental health is a
priority for institutions in order to maintain their efficiency in learning. This is done by providing
constant counseling to the students to overcome their personal difficulties, problems that may
overcome at the college. The college also provides the support to specially abled and dyslexic
students so they may not be left behind in their academics and career. The foremost thing is to
maintain equality in diversity among the students in the campus for continuous growth and
improvement of all the students.
The institution provides students with various learning and development facilities which
involve computer and internet facilities along with its support to enhance the learning abilities of
students. Moreover, the institution also provides library facilities with 24 by 7 visual learning
environment systems that help the students to interact and learn constantly with other students.
The institution also has teaching facilities and resources such as portable multimedia projectors,
overhead projectors, advanced classrooms and e-learning to help the student to continue their

International English language support, photocopy and printing facilities, credit transfer facility,

career advice, induction and banking services to maintain smooth flow of their coursework at the
institution.
It could be recommended to Waltham International College that it could enhance student
support services by developing more ways of providing better education, personal growth and
career opportunities for students. In order to improve the student advice it could be
recommended that the institution should take help of the teachers to understand and highlight the
feedback of students in order to improve their learning and development. The language support
provided by Waltham International College is accurate for the students with different languages
and can improve their communication in their academic duration. Moreover, the college could
enhance his health Care activities bye influencing and encouraging better health among students

also help the organization to maintain equal performance among the students and align their

It had been concluded from the above report that the academic skills are vital for students
because it enhances confidence, abilities and strengths of the students’ learning and development
in their academic and professional lives. Academic skills had been important for developing
strengths, integrity, understanding and confidence among the students to deal with current
scenarios and future challenges. This portfolio had been explaining about the concepts and topics
that were taught in the academic sessions, classes, lectures and other activities. It had also been
