INTRODUCTION
Health issue are increasing concern of society because it is a threatening problem. The
poster will outline common health issue of UK which is heart and circulatory diseases. It will in
determining significance of choosing specific diseases and UK as prone area to this health issue.
Further the report will outline the about Coronary heart diseases specifically in Waltham forest
borough, where almost 40% population die within a year of diagnosis. Thus, it will identify
health needs and intervention to prevent increasing CHD.
MAIN BODY
Identification of health issue in UK
There are various health concern increasing in UK due to various environmental changes.
The most common health issue lung cancer, bowel cancer, Respiratory, Heart &
Circulatory Disease, Asthma and strokes.
The most common and increasing health problem is Heart & Circulatory Disease. More
than 160000 individual die every year due to adverse impact of circulatory diseases
(Hayes and et.al., 2017).
It is common because it is caused due to various reasons such as hereditary, life style,
poor diet, lacking intake of nutrients, etc.
It is an increasing health concern for the UK population because it is developing into lung
cancer and sever heart diseases.
There are various risk involved with Heart & Circulatory Disease like physical
disabilities due to poor diet, high cholesterol, smoking, intake of alcohol, misuse of drugs
and high blood pressure.
The non modifiable risk Factors of circulatory health issue that is age, ethnicity and
family history.
Significance of Heart & Circulatory Disease
The reason behind choosing heart and circulatory diseases in to create awareness among
people about its adverse effects and increasing health concerns.
It is assist in preventing risk of cardiac arrest and many other heart diseases (Singer,
2018).

The importance of choosing this concern is to learn about prevention measure such as
lowering cholesterol by minimizing consumption of fast food, void Trans Fats, increasing
physical exercise, losing weight, quit smoking, Eat Soluble Fiber etc. (Singer, 2018)
Area which will be focused on will be Waltham forest Borough.
Early mortality (under 75 years) rates from coronary heart disease are significantly higher
than the England rate.
The CCG mortality rate has decreased by 41.8% since 2004-2006.
In the three year period 2014-2016, the early mortality rate for CHD in NHS Waltham
Forest CCG was 49.3 per 100,000 people.
In 2016/17 the admission rate for CHD in NHS Waltham Forest CCG was 647.6 for
every 100,000 people in the population (1,114 admissions). This is significantly higher
than the England rate (516 per 100,000).
Getting treatment quickly is important for serious heart attack, where the coronary artery
is blocked.
In 2016/17, the London Ambulance Service Trust had recorded 90.3% of these patients
receiving primary percutaneous coronary intervention (primary PCI) treatment within
150 minutes from the time a call for help was made.
In England, this was 85.8%. PCI is a procedure used to treat the narrowed or obstructed
coronary arteries of the heart.

CHD, to take proper medication and if not than also it is necessary for the population to visit for
test on regular basis to prevent heart diseases (Yang and et.al., 2010). Making sure about own
health problems is the intervention that assist in controlling health problems.
Involvement in Health programs: Organising health programs to educate people about
increasing health problem is the strategy that assist in making people understanding about
increasing health problems. The programs motivate people to acknowledge health as priority and
it is the plan which can decline cause of coronary heart diseases.
Physical exercising: Physical exercise is the most effective intervention of CHD because
it helps people overcoming their bad dietary habits like. It helps in compensating for edibles
which are not required in diet plans. Regular exercising is the plan which assist in reducing
cholesterol managing blood pressure, hyper tension and also aid in reducing weight.
Review intake of calories and diets plans regularly: Regular check-up helps in
diagnosing health problems is the basic practice which will play in important role in minimizing
