This project provides a comprehensive analysis of war, peace, and terrorism, using World War II and the Syrian Civil War as case studies. The assignment examines the individual, societal, and international level causes of both conflicts. It details the rise of Nazi Germany and the factors leading to World War II, including the Great Depression and the appeasement policy. The project also investigates the Syrian Civil War, exploring the roles of Bashar al-Assad's authoritarian rule, ethnic tensions, and international involvement from countries like the USA, Russia, and China. Furthermore, the assignment evaluates the US intervention in Syria based on just war principles, assessing its just cause, right intention, public declaration, last resort, probability of success, and proportionality.
