INTRODUCTION
Effective communication is considered as a verbal speech in order to transfer information
from one individual to another in a systematic and appropriate manner (Greenaway and et.al.,
2015). This study will reflect on demonstrating individual experience of communication and
measures to improve the performance by carrying out job in relation with warehouse manager for
Glazer. This study will also focus on determining the individual behaviour and experience
related with specific job role.
PART A
According to the Driscoll model, I have an experience as a Warehouse manager in
Glazer. I have an experience of maintaining proper and effective records of the inventory system
in the warehouse. I am responsible for timely dispatch of the goods on a timely manner and also
to hire, coach, monitor and schedule all the activities related with warehouse management. I am
responsible for liaison with customers, transport officers and suppliers in order to dispatch the
goods on the specified date (Austin and Pinkleton, 2015). I tend to have a clear understanding
about the policies and vision of the company and also have proper control over the inventory in
order to meet the productivity targets. I am also responsible for warehouse management system
and retrieval system in order to carry out operations in a systematic and ethical way.
Lack of communication and cooperation among employees and various departments of
the organization is one of the major problem faced by the warehouse manager of Glazer (Arnold
and Boggs, 2019). I have evaluated that, having an effective communication network is
paramount for the working of the business. Ineffective communication in the organization leads
to several problems and in turn affects the operational performance of the company (Driscoll
cycle. 2007). I have critically examined that managing a warehouse cooperation from several
departments helps in maintaining efficient stock levels into the organization. Lack of
communication mainly leads to commotion among customers and various team members. I have
evaluated that, the logistic company should focus on complying with various communication
network such emails, messages, calls, logistic system, artificial intelligence, etc. in order to
perform all the functions efficiently in an appropriate and efficient manner. In order to resolve
such issue, I have focused on improving the communication across various departments by
conducting regular meetings (Gluyas, 2015). Customers must be informed regularly with the
latest update about the product in order to keep proper track about the products and services.

According to the Driscoll model, I have analysed that lack of communication results in
poor facility layout, redundant processes, high labour cost, inaccurate inventory information,
commotion between team members, etc. I have evaluated that, an individual must possess
effective communication skills such as leadership skills, analytical skills, system knowledge,
motivational skills, team management skills, intellectual skills, etc. in order to perform all the
functions in a systematic and ethical manner (Sonntag, and et.al., 2016). I have learned that
effective communication results in improving the supply chain in order to attain accomplish the
desired task on a timely and efficient manner.
It was very interesting for me to find the right solution to the problem in order to attain
higher operational goals and leads to smooth functioning of the business. I have learnt that
integration of effective communication network using email, telephone, messages, calls, logistic
system, artificial intelligence, etc. in order to effectively transmit information from one person to
another in order to avoid chaos and confusion in the company. In order to improve the
communication process the company needs to identify the problem in the company with the use
of effective communication network and technology (Toomey, and et.al., 2016). It is very useful
in identifying the potential barriers. I have developed an effective plan by critically evaluating
the warehouse layout and forecast ahead. I tend to critically examine the level of inventory by
taking advantage of technology. I have also focused on training the employees who are related
with the warehouse management in order to improve the performance and working of the
business (Driscoll cycle, 2007). Improving lines of communication within several departments
helps in maximizing the performance and leads to better movement of goods from warehouse to
the customers. I also focus on tracking the shipment with improved communication, coordination
and connectivity. Integration of advanced communication technology and methods helped me in
effectively managing the functions and bridging the gap of communication from one person to
another.
PART B
I have developed various intellectual and communication skills which in turn helps in
taking necessary measures to improve the performance of the company. I have learnt from my
experience that the continuous communication within all the department of the Glazer is very
crucial as it helps in smooth functioning of the business (Preiss and et.al., 2016). It is very useful
in avoiding chaos and finding the best solution to the problem helps in improving the functioning

of the organization. Development of effective communication helps in boosting up the
confidence and morale of employees in the organization. It also helped me in taking strategic
decision which in turn resulted in higher sustainable growth and efficiency in the warehouse and
supply chain management. I have learnt that effective communication has helped me in boosting
up my confidence and leads to higher level of satisfaction towards the work. It has developed my
individual performance with the help of team building activity and increased productivity. It has
helped in building strong relationship between several departments of the company and in turn
results in higher sustainable growth and efficiency (Jahnke, Haertel and Wildt, 2017). It has lead
to clear systematic flow of information without any misunderstanding and problem. I have
developed interpersonal skills which in turn helped me in improving the personality and
behaviour towards my work in order to gain better results. Improved communication has also
led to better management of inventory, tracking and delivering of high quality services to the
customers. Improved communication has in turn lead to better work experience and clarity
towards warehouse management in Glazer.
CONCLUSION
This study summarizes that, effective communication helps in improving the working of
the business by effectively using various communication methods. This study determines how
effective communication reflect on the individual performance, experience and behaviour.
