INTRODUCTION
It is very important for employees to analyse their work experience in order to identify
need of improvement in their communication skills, team work etc. so that they can influence
their performance, behaviour and experience in near future job role and opportunities(Babatunde
and El-Gohary, 2018). Present study is based on the job experience as a warehouse worker in
Amazon that is a multinational technology company in US founded in the year 1994. Report will
include the reflection of job experience as warehouse worker with the help of Driscoll model of
reflection and for the same reflection on its influence on individual performance, behaviour and
experience.

Driscoll model of reflection is having three stages and it is framework that encourages a
structured process in order to guide act of reflection(Stonehouse, 2019).

What?
In this reflection I have used Driscoll model as it helped me out to step back to my
different learning experience while working as warehouse worker in Amazon. We were five in
my team and we were assigned different duties from receiving the goods to unpacking them and
arranging them. Few were having duties to store these goods and after gathering the goods,
loading the respective items for dispatch. All this process required an effective communication
with the workers as we have duty to check that stock that it is not damaged and give report for
the faults. This reflection will improve my experience of working in Amazon by identifying the
need of improvement in my key skills in order to work effectively in the organisation. Sometime
due to lack of communication, it was difficult to manage the work and that directly impacted
individual performance of me and my team members. We focused to have proper schedule so
that we managed our work on time with efficiency. But somehow the things were going in
opposite direction as it was difficult to work effectively with different personalities of members
at the time.
So What?
This reflection made me understand about different skills that I as a warehouse worker is
in need in order to work effectively. While working with my team, I understood that it is very
important to have effective communication as it helps to work more effectively. There is need to
understand the respective practices that me and my team have to adopt in order to work with
perfection. To work in a warehouse, it is necessary to have team work and effective
communication with each other so that tasks are achieved on time. I realised that me and my
team was lacking in communication that was leading to different arguments and we were not
able to manage the things properly. In order to overcome this gap of communication, we started
having one to one interaction that not only helped me and my team to finish our assigned work
on time, but also helped in understanding each others' attitude and behaviour. Not only this we
decided to have team building activities that helped us in bringing effective communication in
the warehouse. As a result our productivity increased that helped the organisation to increase
there customer satisfaction. I realised that my various other skills also developed as I started
working with my team. Time management skills, problem solving skills etc. got enhanced and

our goals become clear and reachable to us. It also resulted in positive work relationships with
other team workers and reduced the level of conflicts that we were facing previously.
Now What?
From this experience I realised that, communication is playing an important role to make
the team work effective with mutual understanding. In my future tasks I will be working to build
effective relationship with my team members by having effective communication with them.
Communication helps in exchanging the ideas and feelings of each member of the team. This
results in better solution and conclusion for the assigned tasks and me and my team will be able
to handle the warehouse and the respective goods effectively. In near future I will take care that
all my team members get equal opportunity to contribute for the team as it helps in brining better
results for the assigned tasks. Listening to each others view point is very necessary for the team
and its is very essential to have both verbal and non-verbal communication in the warehouse.
There are many team members that were having good ideas but because of lack of
communication they hesitated to share their ideas. It is necessary to have activities that overcome
this hesitation within the people of Amazon and in near future, I will ensure that me and my team
build effective relationship with each other for the better results.
PART B
Reflection on influence of communication on individual performance, behaviour and experience
Communication is influencing the individual performance, behaviour and their
experience while working in warehouse. As my team members have effective communication it
helped them to make better decisions for the team and warehouse of Amazon. Not only
performance get improved but behavioural changes also occur as me and my team members
started coordinating with each other. While me and my team members get engaged in various
communication activities I realised that it is leading to efficient work and productivity of the
warehouse as my team members started building trust with each other. All that was possible due
to communication and it mobilizes the team members to work together and enhance the
productivity. It influences the individual experience while working in Amazon as warehouse
worker because with communication, we were able to perform our tasks on time and with
accuracy. We all warehouse workers were able to understand our roles and responsibility in clear
manner and more accuracy was seen in our work. Better results were in hand and that helped in

individual growth and productivity of Amazon. It also helped in brining loyalty and trust within
my team and that brings strong relationship among us.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it is been concluded that communication plays an important role
for to enhance ones individual performance, behaviour and experience with the help of which
they can have successful completion of their tasks.
