Introduction.

United Arab Emirates is characterized by arid climate with less than 100mm per yearly in

average, extraordinary percentage of evaporation of 2-3m annually and a very minimal surface

recharge water of less than 4 % of this resource used annually. The UAE is located in the

south of the Arab Headland which is mostly an arid area with very little rain annually. Fresh

water which is a vital resource for every country is unevenly distributed on the surface of the

earth. Some countries have it in excess while others have no permanent springs or lakes and

UAE is in that category. This has led to a heightened demand for drillings in the desert, dams in

the mountains and salt removal plants on the coasts. The main issues related with water in the

UAE are incursion of salty water, declining quality of water such as related with oil sector and

farming undertakings and extinction of water aquifers in various parts such as Al Ain and Al

Dhaid.

UAE hangs on non-convectional water sources and convectional water resources which includes

seasonal floods, fountains or springs, falajes, and ground water. Non convectional sources are

treated sewage aquatic fluid and desalinated water. The convectional water sources account for

125 Mm
3 yearly from periodic overflows, 20Mm3 annually from falaj discharges, 3Mm3
annually
from perpetual springs, 109Mm3yearlly from aquifer recharge and 22 million from
seasonal springs. The non- convectional water sources accounts for 150 Mm cubic per year from

retrieved water and 475 Mm cubic per year from desalinated water

Our objective is to identify study and discover water resource controlling answers that might

1.1 Main water Resource in UAE.

UAE depends on both original and non- conventional water fonts. Convectional water sources

includes recurrent floods, fountains, falajes, and ground water. Non convectional sources are

treated sewage water and desalinated water.

Recommendations.

Thermostatic Meter Taps which contains a level of chronological control which enables
users to alternate in-between warm and icy temperatures. These taps have infrared

technology which allows the users a choice to get water at the precise warmth.

Preservation of Rain water. Although the UAE receives very little rainfall it is possible to
save slight amount of water through adoption of water harvesting technology.

current centralized UAE water policy to ensure the green structure programs are put in

Aerator Taps. Use of mixed taps helps in reducing water consumption or use in the
green buildings. This is possible because mixed taps assists to control the temperatures

of water flowing in the houses resulting to less power use and increased level of

coziness for consumers. In this case filters are installed in the taps to control the

movement of water in the houses and research has shown up to a 87% saving in use due

to isoflow technology.
