Introduction
In this assessment, there is about the website that how the website is created and this website
includes the connectivity of the database with the website, therefore, the website can record
the registered customer or the visitors of the website. The website is created with the help of
the HTML, CSS language and the PHP coaction is showed because of the database
connectivity. The HTML and CSS are the scripting language which helps to create the
website.

LO1: The concept of web application development.
1.1: Critically evaluate the functions and advantages of web applications.
The applications are built for the user interaction which does the functioning of the request or
the user. The regular updating is not required only the developer need to add the new thing
which will bring the website more effective or in an attractive way. The advantages of the
website are for the customer and the retailers also because nowadays online shopping has
become the most favorable of the person, therefore, the website is very useful. The website is
useful because there are no updates required, all the developer are switching in the web
development and there is less maintenance required, therefore the less money and the output
is more (Efe, B., 2019). When the desktop based custom power is used for the mechanism for
the running hardware which is used on the browser. This application uses the happy platform
which has less power from the computer and this can operate into the different system but in
the browser. In this the user is more familiar with the interface and also interface is more
familiar with the users. The developer has to choose one languages ado that only he or she
has to build the website. The website improves the security which is the biggest problem of

1.2: Critically compare different types of server-side and client-side scripting
languages.
In the website, there is a different language which has the scripting language that is CSS,
HTML these languages are scripting language which is to be operated form server side and
client side. There is the dummy server which is called as the Xampp which is used to run on
the browser. There are different types of the scripting language they are C#, PHP javascript.
HTML: This is the hypertext mark-up language which has the tags in them and his body
present over there. In this, the website contents the arrangement of the frames which consist
of strong languages. This language is the most understand language with simple tags or
syntax.
CSS: The full form of CSS is the Cascading Style Sheet which helps to style the website so
that it can be attractive for the visitor, therefore, this can increase the number of visitors and
there can be the profit of the website owner.
PHP: The connection of the website can be done with the help of PHP which can help for the
connection of the database, this language is the server side language which uses the more
website design to catch and store the data of the registered person. There is the dummy server
which is called as the Xampp which is used to run on the browser to should the connectivity
of the website (Wilkins, 2019)
1.3: Examine web security concerns and make recommendations for security
improvements
To increase the sale of the products on the website and also to increase the number of a
visitor the there is a need to provide the best security that the product is safe in the website of
the retailer. There are chances of the data to be hacked so, therefore, the developer or the
owner should ask of the hiring of the hacker to which one can there is o cybercrime are
entertained for the website. There is CrossSite Scripting file which has the input file and
includes the error in the website and this cannot be executed. The scripts run to the web pages
which includes the cookies in it. To prevent the injection of the HTML there should be the
types of attacks should be prevented.

2.1: design a web application to meet a given requirement

2.2: synthesize client-side and server-side functionality in a web application
There is proper coordination between the client and the server to which the request and
response should be done properly. There is the use of dummy server which is called Xmapp.
The client goes on the browsers to visit the browser it sent the request to the server and from
there the server responds the request of the client (Wilkins, 2019). The work of the server is
the scripting which is side scripting language which is to be operated form server side and

the browser. If there is something wrong the server will not respond to the request ad there

There is three tired architecture which will help to build the website
1. Presentation Tier: This information displays the topmost layer which helps for the
communication between the client and the server.
2. Data tier: This includes the data tier and the business logic
3. Application Layer: The function is processed by the application which can be seen layer by
layer.
The work of the server is the scripting which is side scripting language which is to be
operated form server side and client side. If there is something wrong the server will not

Wordpress: This platform helps to build the website by just following some tools, it tool does
not include any kind of language. This takes some amount for the platform to use.

Wix: This provides the website to be profitable to understand the user by just using the
technique for drag and drop.
Square Space: This is the advance version of word press which helps to build the website
there is some additional functionality added to build the website.

Conclusion
This report consists of the web application which has to be built by using the HTML and CSS
by making the use of the database. This website will consist of HTML, CSS, and PHP. There
is detail discussion about the language. There is also about the security that data can be
hacked so therefore the developer or the owner should ask of the hiring of the hacker to
which one can there is on cybercrime are entertained for the website. There are mock-ups
built to demonstrate the website design. There is also about the three-tier architecture of the
website which shows the different layers of the architecture in detail.
