This analysis portrays the competition level at the present web arena and also consists
of ways that can be utilized by the organizations to sustain their business with the help
of IS. Lastly, a statement has been answered according to the present situation.
DISCUSSION
WEB ARENA AND COMPETITION TODAY
The advent of latest technologies has forced companies to operate on new platforms of
businesses and hence internet usage is booming with the fast processes. The increase
in database also aid the use of web portals and this has led to tremendous increase in
competition in web arena at present (JEREZ, 2013). At the same time, everyone is also
willing to improvise and this motive has enhanced the level of competition at web arena.
STRATEGIC BENEFITS OF IS
In the face of global economy, there are several challenges that organisations face and
strategic information systems available can easily help in enhancing the value of the
organizations and enable competitive advantages. It is the conventional IS’s that helps
organizations like TPS, MIS, DSS, EIS, OAS, ERP, etc. and with these, it can be stated
that IS has the capabilities to transform processes, products, goals etc. Strategic IS can
help in reshaping organizational strategies into more dominant and effective ways to
enable additional benefits to the organizations in their diverse functions (Alshubaily and
Altameem, 2017).
AN INFORMATION SYSTEM CONSISTS OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Basically it can be said that the information systems comprises of several components
in addition to just hardware and software like data, procedures, telecommunication, etc.
Despite being the major components in IS, hardware and software are not the only
things present in any IS and hence this above statement is inadequate at a certain level
(Stair and Reynolds, 2013).
CONCLUSION
The paper has described the excess of competition at web arena and what are the
practices that an organisation can do to sustain their business while at last, a statement
has been analysed with rightful answers.
