Introduction
Information and computer technology (ICT) is the component and infrastructure which can
enable modern computing. This is not used for the single component. Basically, it is used for the
many applications and devices such as networking component, video conferencing, smartphones
and cells that can allow the combined the organization and people. This study is used to enable
the Information and computer technology to reduce the cost of travel. This research is based on
web conferencing to enable information and communication technology (ICT). Web
conferencing is used to enable the computer screen, web-based content for two or more mobile
devices and computer and individual applications. It used a platform to deliver through the
internet via software as a service (SaaS). This study can describe web-based technology to
reduce the travelling and accommodation charges by developing digital communication and
online research skills (Robin et al., 2019).

LO3: Develop online research skill
This is to develop online research skill based on web conferencing through information and
communication technology. This is used to describe the different types of techniques that can
allow the communication between the two or more people who are located at a different location
through the live conferencing (Wisser et al., 2019).web conferencing is used to define the
various types of services such as webcasts, webinars, and web meeting. This can be done by TCP
or IP connection over the internet. But this research wants to discuss only two web conferencing
with their features, contrast and advantages etcetera.
This study discusses the two web conferencing such as webinars and webcast as followed:
Webinars
This is one type of web conferencing which can provide the live conferencing. In this
conferencing, all the seminars are referred to webinars through the internet. This can be defined
as on the one hand is used for presenters who can share information to the participants and on
considering the other hand; the participant can ask and respond to the questions related to the
information. This conferencing helps to audience and presenter to interact with each other but to
a limited extent (Slivkoff et al., 2019).
The webinar also has different types of software, version and features. This study discusses the
eztalks webinar, which is most used webinar software over different countries.
This has the different type of features such as interactive feature, customizable feature, recording
feature, paid webinar feature and reporting feature etcetera.
There are many advantages and disadvantages of webinars:
Advantages:
 It is easy to use and convenient for both participatory and presenter.
 This does not require any special requirement.
 Less cost
 This has the facility of recording so that other people and view.

Disadvantages
 It required high speed of internet connection.
 There is nobody communication possible.
 Webinars can work on some browsers.
 It may not work on a MAC computer or mobile device.
Webcast
This is another type of web conferencing which is used to send the information through the web-
based information over the internet. This is the type of web conferencing used to broadcast can
be done by TV, but this can be only done by web instead of a TV. This is used to broadcast at a
large number of people. This does not have the possibility of interaction between participant and
presenter on the format of web conferencing (Slivkoff et al., 2019).
This has the features of event creation wizard, easy event assesses, custom branding, audience
participation, signal acquisition, audience capacity compatibility, customized broadcast options,
automated archiving, audience participation etcetera (Huda & Faiza, 2019).
There are several advantages and disadvantages of webcasting:
Advantages:
 Audience
 Cost
 Mobile device
 Target audience
Disadvantages:
 Internet connectivity distribution
 Professional, visual specialist and audio
 Non- interactions
Discuss the skill required to conduct online research skill required and the challenges being
faced.

There are many things which are required to conduct online research skills. This can be easy and
compatible with the mobile device and the internet. Web conferencing can make life easier by
interacting with the participant and presenter (Korhonen et al., 2019).
 Providing E-learning resources to list them
This is to conduct online research with some tool of the trade. It is to list them the well-stocked
tool to enable e-learning resources. This provides a mix of sites, e-learning blogs, articles, e-
video approach.
 Basic of source citation to teach
This is the basis on the citing the source is an essential part of online research. It is required to
cite the basic source by providing the tutorials, videos, articles and tip sheet. Also, this will tell
the properly citing source using the online source such as news article, online book and websites.
 Develop search engine and browser tutorial
This is to develop the search engine and browser tutorial for the web conferencing to improve the
quality of service. This can remove the obstacle through the search engine and browsers.

LO4: Develop digital communication skills
Digital communication skills can be defined as to communicate digitally through e-learning,
video conferencing. This study provides effective digital communication skills, such as video
communication skills. Video communication is the best way of digital communication skills to
interact with the participant and presenters digitally by video conferencing. It can help to provide
the video lectures for the student so that can learn from the video lectures.
Video conferencing
It is the best way to communicate with lecturer and student to get the knowledge from the
lecturer by videos or audio. This required some equipment to listen to these lectures such as good
internet connectivity because these only work over the internet, a laptop or mobile device and
headset to avoid the distraction (Hart et al., 2019).

 Group chat and real-time private
 Large meeting capacity
 Easy discussing and sharing
Advantages
 Dramatic travel saving
 No time constraint
 Easy communication
 Increased productivity
Disadvantages
 The technical issue can occur

E-Learning skills and knowledge
This is the latest digital technology which is used in the professionalism to communicate and get
the knowledge from the senior experts by their e-learning platform (Deluca et al., 2019).

This is to discuss the skills required to use digital communication skill in web conferencing. It
required the different type of skills required to communicate well while making the videos or
audio for the students who are going to learn from these lessons through video conferencing and
e-learning approach.

Conclusion
This study is to use information and communication technology (ICT) to reduce the cost of travel
and accommodation. This technology can help people to communicate well at their home or any
place wherever you want. This study is based on web-based conferencing to interact between the
presenters and participatory. This is to discuss the two platforms, such as online research skills
and digital research skills. Online research skills have many web conferencing skills such as
webcasting, webinars etcetera. It also discusses the features, contrast, advantages and
disadvantages with the latest technology. Another term which is discussed in this research is
digital communication skills. Digital communication skills can be defined as to communicate
digitally through e-learning, video conferencing. This research discusses the e-learning and video
conferencing communication skills with their advantages, disadvantages, and features etcetera.
