INTRODUCTION
Information technology refers to the term that includes different systems for sending
information to one person to another or to store important data of the company for long period
(Tømte and et. al., 2015). It is important to use information system as it manages all the data
that is needed to carry out the work.
Report will include types of web conferencing provider its features and their applicability
in the company. Furthermore, it will include skills that is required for conducting online research
and challenges faced in it.
MAIN BODY
Difference between web conferencing providers and its applicability
Web conferencing refers to providing online services to customers that help them in easy
communication from one person to another. It provides facilities like video call, conference call
etc. It is the most engaging platform nowadays as almost all the people is using this technology
for making life easy (Gretter and Yadav, 2016). There are three benefits of using these
applications as it helps in easy communication, Reduction in the travelling cost and improved
efficiency of people.
In this report Skype and Webex web conferencing application is taken for further study.
Skype Web ex
It is a telecommunication application that
provide various services to its customers such
as voice calls, video call that facilitate easy
communication between people.
It is also a web conferencing provider that
provides video conferencing and online
meeting between various people in the
company.
It uses 108 language that helps in providing
services.
In this there are no such languages that
facilitate communication.
Operating system used by Skype are Linux,
Windows Phone, iOS and Android.
It used Cisco Systems as its operating
software.
It is performing at the rate of 9.0 points. Its performance include 8.9 points
Skype is offering freemium model of payment
and its basic service is free.
It doesn't use such offer to the customer.

It facilitates instant messaging (Huda, 2019).
In Skype 25 users can participate in doing
video call and in paid amount 10 users will
include in the call.
In Web ex free account will allow only 3 users
and the premium account will facilitate 8 users.
The cost that is charged on premium account is
$ 9 per month.
Its cost is ranging from $ 25 to $ 90 per month.
Its quality of video is based on subscription
(Goldie, 2016).
It offers standard quality to customers
regarding calls and video conferencing.
As web ex is a platform that support web based, iPhone app, android app in its software While
Skype is using all these apps including windows phone application. Customers of both web
conferencing are same such as freelancers, small business, medium size business and the
enterprise. Web ex pricing starting from $ 19 per month while Skype starting price is 3.49 per
month. Web ex is providing various features to the customers such as call recording, chat,
conferencing, meeting management etc. while Skype has video call recording, instant messaging
or transfer file from one system to another. Integrations that is used in Web ex are drop box,
Microsoft outlook, Zapier, Zen desk etc. While in Skype slack, Microsoft dynamics CRM etc.
are used as integration (Bridgstock, 2016). They both save time and effort that is used in both the
web conferencing application as compared to another competitors.
They are applicable in all the IT industry as Skype is applicable in various channels that
is used for operating various channels on the internet. This will help in facilitating various
services related to the audio or video call. This will help in monitoring various ways of
communication to people that are living far from each other. Web ex is also providing many
services like multimedia content sharing, brainstorming, call sharing, webinars that is being used
by customers as well as companies for easy facilitating of services to them.
Skills required to conduct online research
For conducting online research some skills is required to make it effective and efficient
are as follows:
Checking Sources:- It is an important part before start doing online research that to check all the
online sources that is required to complete the research. Sources can be identified by doing

proper research as there is no source remain vacant through which information will be collected
and is useful for the researcher.
Asking Questions:- This is an another skill that is being required regarding asking question on
the internet so that better results can get and that will lead to give better results for future
(Ellaway and et. al., 2015). Questions will be asked to the helper that is available on the internet
that will facilitate in making research useful for the future course of action.
Searching in broader way:- It is important to do good research that will help in giving result in
the broader sense. If information is getting more than research will be helpful for evaluating the
result for future.
Being Patient:- Patience will help in evaluating the results that will be helpful for the future. If
proper information is not getting then the research is not efficient to make result.
Respecting the ownership:- It is important to respect the ownership of writer that is written on
the online websites that is beneficial for the researcher for evaluating the best result for the
future. While researching be careful as do not copy paste the content from online sources and
present it as its written by itself except the writer.
Using different sources to gather information:- Collecting information from the various
sources will help in collecting more data as compared to other collection (Hussey and Kennedy,
2016). If more information is present that will be benefited in providing result for future use.
Challenges that is being faced while doing research are as follows:
Time management:- Online research takes more time as different websites is being identified
for completing the research. It is difficult to save time while doing online research. As researcher
have to go onto different sites that consume more time while collecting information.
Reliable information:- It is also the biggest challenge that is faced by online researcher is that
sometimes data that is being collected through online will be getting wrong and that will destroy
the hard-work as it of not use. The research will be conducted again as information that is being
collected is not reliable. So, it is necessary to find out the correct information that will be helpful
for the research conducted.
Finding original source:- In online research it is difficult to get the real time data from the
internet as a original source (Farisi, 2016). It is difficult to get real time information from the
online source. As there are different blogs are written that will also create problem for the future.

Therefore, above challenges will be faced by the researcher for conducting online
research.
CONCLUSION
From this study it can be said that information technology plays an important role in the
company for enhancing growth of the company as well as employees. There are different web
conferencing providers available on the internet such as Skype, Web ex, iMeet, Fuze etc. These
helps in providing various types of services that will be helpful for the future. All these providers
provide services by taking charge from the customers based on the offering that is being
provided by the company. Some skills are also required to do online research so that it will
become fruitful and give better result to the researcher. Some challenges is also faced by
conducting online research.
