MyPlace Network: Web Widgets Proposal for Unified Messaging System

Based on the information we have obtained regarding the network requirements for the MyPlace
network environment, we have complied a proposal to address the concerns and best meet the
needs of the corporation. The proposal includes several upgrades and additions to the internal
technology environment that would improve the customer’s experience, and therefore increase
revenue streams. More specifically, customer facing environment would be improved to include
additional services, functions, and conveniences to the users. The table below summarizes the

Introduction
In this present paper, we will discuss the project proposal for the internal messaging solution
which helps to resolve the problem of effective communication within an organization in order to
achieve the desired goals within the specific period of time. The Cisco Company is proposed as a
vendor in order to implement the unified messaging solution within the organization which
provides the high quality of solution within affordable cost.
Background information
MyPlace.org is a new information technology company that aims to become most popular social
websites among the competitors within the same industry. The features of the social website
include auction site in which users can post their items for sale, they can also post reviews, and
photos can be uploaded to the gallery. As the total employees of the company will be hundred so
unified messaging solutions helps to develop the popular social website of the company through
implementing unified messaging solution. The timeline for implementing unified messaging
solution is three weeks. The proposed budget for implementing the project within an
organization is approximate $483,000 excluding network infrastructure equipment.
Objectives
The objective for implementing unified messaging solution is to develop effective
communication system in order to achieve goals and objectives of the company within the
specific period of time. Cisco is an American multinational company which is proposed as

vendor due to its high technology innovative products that help to implement unified messaging
solution in a most effective manner.
Project justification
As the manpower of a company increases due to which there is ineffective communication
within the organization that impacts on the overall performance of the company and ultimately it
is difficult for the company to achieve its goals and objectives within the specific period of time.
The implementation of unified messaging system within the organization helps to develop an
effective communication system that directly improves the sales volume of the company through
effective decision making. The ineffective communication system is a major root of unsuccessful
business, so implementation of unified messaging system helps to resolve the problem of the
effective communication system.
Priority needs
The implementation of unified messaging system is a prioritized need of the company in order to
improve the communication system within the organization. Cisco will provide the high quality
of unified messaging system which needs to be prioritized in order to provide the competitive
advantage to the company.
Proposal approach
The approach is to implement unified messaging system within the organization from Cisco
Company as a vender which helps to resolve the problem of communication system among
hundred employees in order to provide a competitive advantage to the company. The
implementation of unified messaging system requires network infrastructure and implementation
of software in order to develop the communication base for the company. It is mainly developed
for the employees within the organization in order to provide unified communication base which

helps to improve the decision-making of the company. The implementation of unified
communication system helps to develop core competencies in order to achieve goals and
objectives within the specific time framework (Rosnow et al., 2006).
Implementing organization
The Cisco Company acts a vendor who will implement the unified messaging system within the
organization through using multifaceted strategy and the duration for implementation requires
three weeks which includes implementation of network infrastructure within the organizations
such as desktops, servers, mobile services, and others. The unified messaging system with LDAP
service helps to improve the communication system, and it enables to locate organization. The
implementation of software can be done by Cisco within three weeks in order to provide a

system with lightweight directory access protocol (Gropp et al., 1996). Cisco Company has
capabilities to implement the unified messaging system within the organization software with
LDAP but it does not implement hardware system within the organization which requires
additional network infrastructure cost in order to implement the unified communication system
within the specific period of time.

The aim of the project is to implement the unified communication system with LDAP within the
organization in order to provide better communication system within the organization. The
project helps to improve the communication system among the employees in order to take
effective decision making which con tributes towards the achievement of mission and vision of

the company. The Cisco Company provides a complete unified solution within the overall
minimum cost. Cisco unity connections help to meet the needs of telephony and technology
teams without the requirement of sacrifice voicemail and features of telephony in order to move
to a cloud-based solutions (Rittinghouse et al., 2016). It helps to maintain the tasks and features
for the end users for both emails as well as voicemail.
Target groups
The project is mainly developed for the employees of the company in order to improve the
communication system with the implementation of LDAP which helps to determine the location
of the company. The implementation of unified messaging system helps to improve the decision
making which directly improves the sales volume of the company. The unified communication
system simply reduces the cost, simplifies management, enhance mobility, manage
communication with single server, and others that directly improves sales volume of the
company (Kurganov et al., 2017). Cisco Company provides effective communication system for
medium sized organizations which mainly requires video, voice, messaging and mobility. The
target audience of unified messaging system is employees who require simplified
communication system which helps to improve the decision making of the company. The unified
communication system is mainly described as the unification of all forms of multimedia
communication which can be controlled by end users (Turner et al., 2016). It helps to remove
human latency into business processes due to the inefficient communication. The main
components of unified messaging system include presence, IP telephony, and network whereas
the traditional components include voicemail, email, and unified messaging, web conferencing,
and audio conferencing. The emerging components include video conferencing, document based

collaboration, mobility, social media, and communication enabled business process (Baxter Jr et
al., 2013).
Project implementation
The Cisco Company has no significant functional differences among the Cisco unity connection
unified messaging solution configuration to interpret with ion premises Microsoft exchange
solution and Cisco Unity connection unified messaging solution configuration with online
Microsoft exchange BPOS-dedicated solution. Following is the example of Cisco unity
connecting through using Microsoft BPOS dedicated deployment. The implementation of unified
communication include capital expenditure, maintenance cost, staffing cost, moves, adds, and
changes, improvement in processes due to minimization of human latency, and other factors
(Verzuh et al., 2015). The project implementation includes setting of network architecture
through setting using infrastructure equipment’s such as servers, desktops, software, and mobile
devices. After the implementation of network architecture software then unified messaging
system is implemented by Cisco Company in order to develop effective communication system
within the organization which provide financial as well as non-financial benefits to the company.

Budget
The total budget for implementing unified communication system within the organization
includes software implementation cost and hardware cost. The software implementation cost of a
unified communication system is explained below:

which costs less than the approximate budget provided by the CEO of the company. It includes

network architecture within the organization such as the installation of computers, installation of
software and mobile device.

The equipment’s which are required for the implementation of unified messaging system within
the organization include desktop, software, networking, mobile device, servers, and others in
order to implement the unified messaging system within the organization.
Miscellaneous
Other expenditure at the time of implementing required stationary cots, traveling cost, training
cost, and other indirect expanses. Training plays an important role in order to implement the

employees require training in order to communicate through a unified communication system.
