This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of DTGOV's plan to migrate its webservers to an IaaS instance in AWS. The presentation begins with an introduction to the project and the critical requirements for the web services, including accessibility, load handling, security, and download capabilities. It then delves into the benefits of moving to AWS, such as ease of use, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and security. The presentation explores various cloud architecture types, including resource pooling, nested pools, and dynamic and elastic resource capacity architectures. The presentation also covers the advantages of moving to Office 365, the issues encountered during the migration, and the cloud-based approach for on-premises data centers. Finally, it compares IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models, highlighting PaaS as the most suitable for SharePoint services, and concludes with the challenges and solutions related to application compatibility, data migration, and security. The presentation is designed for the DTGOV board to provide an initial briefing of the cloud migration strategy.
