Summary on control objectives and techniques
The application control is referred to as the transactions as well as data related to the
website development of new HWE Accessories. The objectives of application control is to
make sure that there is completeness as well as accuracy of the website along with validity of
entries made to it (Rababah et al., 2016). The application controls are being controlled over
IPO (input, processing and output) functions of the website. The techniques are as follows:
 Only completed, accurate as well as valid data is to be entered in addition to updated
in the website development
 Processing of accomplishment of designed tasks
 Processing of the website results to meet with client’s expectations
 Maintenance of data (Rababah et al., 2016).
In order to check for authorization of transactions as well as data, following are the
techniques to be followed:
 Identification of the application components
 Interviewing of the development personnel, system owner, system
administrator
 Developing of security test strategies
 Testing controls to make sure about the system functionality as well as system

System Testing
Black box testing: The testing is done to test the developed website for any external
factors responsible for failures of the website. It tests the website for finding errors against
incorrect and missing website functions, user interface errors, performance and termination
errors (Fauzy et al., 2018).
White box testing: It is done through testing of the internal structure, design as well as
coding of the new website.
Functional testing: Through this testing, the expected behaviour of the website is
being tested, it is done to test functionality of the website.
Environment: The testing environment is set up by testing of the software as well as
hardware to execute the test cases.
Security testing: The security testing is done to stimulate attack from the malicious
hacker.
User acceptance testing: Using this testing, the website is being tested in real word by
intended audiences or users (Klug, 2017).
Unit testing: The developer performs unit testing to verify if a specific loop is being
working properly or not.
