INTRODUCTION
Project management can be defined as art of managing project by using structured
methodology in order to obtain overall objective of the project (Svensson and et.al, 2016).
Planning, implementation, monitoring and controlling are major aspects of project management.
It is considered as application of skills and experience which are required to complete the project
on time. Present study is based on the creation of wedding dress. Current assignment will explain
schedule and scope of the project. It will discuss requirements to complete this proposal on time
with required quality. Time, cost, quality management and communication aspects will be
illustrated in this study.

Creation of Wedding dress is quit difficult project. For making this project successful it is
essential to know requirement of bride, groom and family members. Project manager needs to
look upon the necessity of the wedding and its overall budget (Park, 2014). That can help the

Scope
It is another essential part of project management. It is the responsibility of project
manager that to develop scope statement so that wedding dress can be created within stipulated
time and within its set budget. For creation of wedding dress individual has to make connection
with wedding dress designers (Uggla, 2014). As per the need of family members, person has to
select suitable designer who can prepare the quality dress for this wedding. There would be
issues related to fitting and material thus, manager has to pay attention on this aspect and have to
give order to design the wedding dress to suitable designer.
This project has huge scope, it will create memories for the bride, groom and their
families. Because they will look nice in this designer dress. Project manager will get to know
expectation of the family members (Horsely, 2014). It will help in completing the project as per
their needs and requirements. That would be better for the project manager because that would
help the manager in future projects of creating wedding dress in wedding.
It will support in addressing problems that may create problem while working on this
project. By this way project manager will be able to find proper solutions of these issues so that
in future projects such type of problems do not get raised (Peirson-Smith, 2013).

Requirements
There are several things which are required to complete the creation of wedding dress
project successful. Men, machine and material are three essential things without them this
proposal can not be completed on time (Chen, 2014). For meeting with the objective it is
essential for the project manager that to have sufficient number of human resource, proper
physical machineries and monetary support.
Human resource:
For creating the wedding dress it is very important for the project manager to have
sufficient number of human resources. It will help in completing the dress on time (Zoghbi and
et.al, 2016). For that manager will require men for taking fitting of the dress, material testing
person, designer etc. Coordination of all these members can support in completion of the project
within stipulated time. In the absence of men power individual will be not be able to finish this
proposal within set duration. That is the major aspect that helps in minimizing the issues of the
project.
Physical resources:
Wedding dress creation is the complicated project. In this project it is essential for the
manager that to know about needs of each family member, bride and groom. That would help in
designing the dress as per their requirements (Rayna, Striukova and Darlington, 2015). For that
individual will require machineries in which dress can be designed, raw material for dress, etc.

All these are essential for the present project. Availability of these things will support in
completing the project on time with expected quality.
Monitory resources:
Financial resources are one of the most important part of the project management. If the
person has sufficient monitory resources then it would help in designing the dress as per the
requirement of involved persons (Tinson and et.al, 2013). Manager will require funds for
purchasing the quality raw material of the dress, for paying fees to the designer, labour fees etc.
All these expenses require amount so that this project can be completed within stipulated time
duration. Monitory resources are the most essential part of this project, in the absence of this
individual will not be able to meet with objective of the project. If there is lack of financial
resources then individual will have to compromise with the quality thus, over all objective will
not be obtained (Dubois, Schor and Carfagna, 2014). Thus, monitory resources are the important
part of project and in the current wedding dress creation project manager will require sufficient
funds so that it can fulfil objective of involved persons.
Deliverables
In the creation of wedding dress deliverables will be such as raw material, arrangement of
designer who will design the dress for wedding, testing of fitting and quality. Apart from this,
manager of the project will have to include transportation, family member discussion, discussion
hall etc (Robinson and et.al, 2016).

Project manager can not take decision by own that which type of dress is required to be
created. Designing, material quality etc. will be explained by the groom, bride and their family
members. Project manager is accountable for fulfil their needs. It is the responsibility of the
person that to create wedding design in such manner so that final output of the designed dress
amaze the involved person and can meet their expectations (Cavallo, D’Apuzzo and Squillante,
2015). Selection of appropriate colour combination is another essential deliverable for creation
of wedding dress. Arrangement of machineries is another deliverable for the present project. In
this manager will have to make arrangement of all these machines through which wedding dress
can be created properly. In addition, another deliverable in this project is fabric. For making
quality and stylish wedding dress project manager will have to chose impressive fabric so that it
can look nice (Parman and et.al, 2017). In addition, decoration items are another deliverable for
the wedding dress creation project. That would make it more stylish and wedding dress will look
nice and different. All these deliverables will make this project successful and when bride will
wear this dress then she will look so nice and stylish.

Cost
For creation of wedding dress project manager will have to make some necessary
expenses. The budget of the project is £300. This is sufficient budget for creating the wedding
dress and in this amount, project manager will be able to prepare the quality dress as per the
requirement of the bride, groom and their family members (Janigo and Wu, 2015). There are
several costs which are related with the project:
Cost of purchasing raw material
Project manager has to invest 40% amount of purchasing raw material for designing the
wedding dress. That would be £160. In this manager will buy fabric, dress material, decoration
items, threads etc. For all these things individual will have to pay approx £160. In this cost
quality raw material will be purchased by the person effectively (PROJECT CHARTER, 2013).
Cost of labour
Project manager will have to pay amount to the labors those who are involved in the
creation of wedding dress. This will cost 20% of entire budget which is £80. In creation of the
wedding dress individual will have to hire some experts those who have great experience of
creating the wedding dresses (Dubois, Schor and Carfagna, 2014). They will charge approx £80.
In this cost this activity will be completed.
Designer fees
Before creating the wedding dress, finalization of design is very important. Designer will
charge £40 for designing the wedding dress. Designer will share its all designs with the bride,
groom and family members and they have to make final selection. As per the quality of design,
designer will charge the fees. Thus, cost of this activity would be £40 (Peirson-Smith, 2013).
Transportation cost
It is another expenses which is associated with the creation of wedding dress project.
Project manager will have to hire some taxi or other transportation mediums so that wedding
dress can be reach to the wedding destination on time without any damage. Transportation cost
would be £20.
Time
Project manager have to present planning to project sponsor in effective manner so that
overall project can get approval. Scheduling and timing of the project is considered as one of the
essential part of project management (Uggla, 2014). Creation of wedding dress is the short term

proposal thus, manager has to plan activities properly so that it can get completed within
stipulated time period. Time length of the present project is 47 days. Beginning date of creation
of wedding dress project would be 1st August and it will be completed on 16 September. In this
time length activities for creation of wedding dress would be completed effectively (Zoghbi and
et.al, 2016).
Human Resource
Human resource is one of the essential resource of the project, without having sufficient
number of men manager can not complete proposal on time (Dubois, Schor and Carfagna, 2014).
For creation of wedding design, project manager requires below maintained human resource: Wedding dress designer: For creation of wedding dress project manager will have to
involve designer who has great experience of designing wedding dress. Involvement of
designer helps in designing the dress as per the requirement of bride, groom and their
family members. A designer can give good suggestions related with the dress designing.
By this way project manager will be able to meet with the objective of project (Robinson
and et.al, 2016). Men for taking fitting of the dress: Project manager has to hire one person who can take
fitting for creating the wedding dress. That individual will have to take measurements and
have to stitch the dress. Working of the person can help in getting quality output and
meeting with needs of customer. Material testing person: Wedding dress is very important for the bride and groom both.
That gives them attractive look and look beautiful. For that testing of material is essential.
Thus, project manager will have to hire person who can test material quality so that final
wedding dress can become stylish and unique (PROJECT CHARTER, 2013).
 Project team: These are another essential human resources those who can make
coordination among all involved person in order to complete the project on time with
quality.
Risk
Wedding dress makes a bride and groom more stylish. But in the creation of dress there
are many risks associated with the project. Risk of this project are as following: Scheduling risk: Creation of wedding dress is the short term project so planning of
activities are very important. In the absence of proper scheduling individual will not be

able to complete the project on time. Thus, it is considered as major risk because due this
it would not be able to complete it within time length (Janigo and Wu, 2015). Cost risk: For creating the designer wedding dress project manager have to spend amount
for paying labour, transportation cost, designer cost, material cost etc. All these expenses
can go over budget if manager has not managed the project well. This is big risk because
due to cost risk final output would be affected badly (Parman and et.al, 2017). Human risk: It is another risk which is associated with creation of wedding dress. That
can create problem for the project manager and by this way project would not be able to
achieve its goal.
 Machinery risk: It is another risk which is associated with the creation of wedding dress
project. In this if machines get damaged then it can create problem for the manager
because by this way project would not be completed on time (Tinson and et.al, 2013).
Quality Control
Quality control is considered as life blood of the project management. In the absence of
proper quality project manager will not be able to fulfil needs of project sponsors. There are
several techniques that can help the manager in meeting with the expectation of the clients
(Svensson and et.al, 2016). These are such as:
 Six sigma
 TQM
There are many complications with the project but manager has to look upon the effective
coordination among all involved persons and it should monitor quality time to time. Material
quality needs to be chosen carefully (Rayna, Striukova and Darlington, 2015). Designer has to
pay attention on requirements of bide and groom and accordingly they have to design their
wedding dress. It is essential to look upon the scheduling factor. As it is short term project thus,
it is necessary for the project manager that to keep eye on each activity. So that risk can be
analysed on time and manager can make proper solution to resolve this issue (Chen, 2014).
Communication
Communication is important part of project management, it is the duty of manager of the
project that to make effective coordination with all involved persons. In the creation of wedding
dress there are many people associated such as project team, designer, fitting person,
transportation person, etc. Coordination among all these persons are essential (Zoghbi and et.al,

2016). That would help the manager in planning activities properly so that it can get completed
on time. In the planning phase individual has to share objective of the project with all involved
persons so that no further confusion take place. In the implementation stage project manager has
to conduct time to time meetings with the team members so that no confusion take place.
Effective communication is the key to success by this way project manager will be able to get
quality final output (Robinson and et.al, 2016).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that creation of wedding dress is short term
project and it is very important to monitor the activities properly so that no mistake can take
place. Quality control and proper communication can support project manager in completing
project on time and meeting with needs of project sponsors.
