Contemporary developments in Program
management application systems
Program management is critical as every
organization is involved in the
implementation of something new as the
operations progress. In program
management, 1980s was based on quality,
1990s globalization and 2000s velocity
(Calderon & Ruiz 2015). Project
management is therefore a phenomenal
tool in the hands of companies that
understand how to use it. The development
of program management capabilities in
companies together with applying
information management systems leads to
team work and synchronizing of team
tasks, schedules and resources.
Currently, without the use of project
management application systems it is
impossible to manage any project.Project
management systems are computer
programs which help people to initiate,
plan, execute and monitor projects of any
magnitude. There are many contemporary
developments in the use of program
management application systems (Calderon
& Ruiz 2015). One discpline that has been
affected by this is systems engineering.
Systems Engineering was traditionally
applied to product development but can
currently apply to service and eneterprise
systems.It depends on enabling
comptencies and structures at the
individual, team and company level. It is
currently applied to products,
services,healthcare, systems and

include the use of lean six sigma, industrial
engineering and healthcare systems

Lean six sigma started from the Toyota
Production System and is made up of
techniques like value stream mapping,
elimination of waste, analysis of root
causes and the voice of the customer. All
these are implemented through various
program applications and have been
adopted by succesful organizations all over
the world (Sebokwiki 2017).
Organizations have also adopted industrial
engineering programs.This includes
functions such as event simulation,
egronomics, operations research and
control of production. This has led to
organizaions carrying out efficient research
before launching a product into the market
as they are able to quickly identify
loopholes.
Organizations have evolved due to
embracing the contemporary systems of
program management. This has led to
streamlined production processes,
efficiency and overall product
improvement. Many organizations have
achieved success and groth due to adopting
these systems(Sebokwiki 2017).
