INTRODUCTION
Health and social care is a term which is related to the services and that are available for
the providers which are related to social care. In this employees have to provide proper provision
that are related to healthcare which includes infrastructure, public as well as private sector.
Sociology in health and social care assist in analysing and evaluating the interaction between the
health among individual person as well as society. The main objective of social life is that how it
is having a influence on the morality rate (Sociological Perspective on Health, 2016). Sociology
in health and social care is accompanying to social organization which includes the family,
employment etc. There are two aspects which are included in the health and social care that is
biological and another one is how the concept of health along with the illness which is to be
considered. Task 1 report is based on Wellington Hospital which provides different services to
their patients. In task 2, assignment is made on the WHO commission and task 3 is based on the
broken society. In the below mentioned assignment, discussion on inequalities exists in health
and social care. Along with this, implication of health and social care issues are also explained.
TASK 1
1.1 Political, social, economic construct can be used in categorises community
In the society, there are multidisciplinary teams which are having their fundamental goals
and objectives in increasing abilities of individual person as well they have to overcome from
challenges and difficulties which employees of Wellington Hospital is facing in their life. Along
with this, they have to improve their different types of social needs which help in providing
proper satisfaction to their consumers (Abraham, 2010). Different factors which are construct for
the society in which different person who are suffering from the various diseases as well as
issues which are related to health and social care.
Political as well as economic construct: There are different factors which are included in
this that such as age, gender, social class etc. According to the age and gender, there are different
people who live in organisation who provide the health and care services and the person who are
living in the area with the less opportunities related to employment.. Another is relationship
breakdown and in this there are many people who are living multidisciplinary community and
they want proper care (Best and et. al., 2012).

Social construct: In this construct, the people who are included are families, unemployment,
work etc. The regulatory bodies of UK have to provide proper education to the disabled person
or people who are not capable to learn distinctive things. In the business entities in the health and
social care many families lived and it is necessary as well as essential for them to provide better
education so that they can improve their life and maintain standard (Health & Social Care, 2017).

In the society, current trends change time to time. The main trend is demographic and it
helps in doing the study which helps in attaining the growth, structure as well as movement of
human populations. The organisation who delivers services related to health and social care
mainly focuses on the remuneration which has to be considered in the population in the specific
time. The information which they can used by attaining from the different events which includes
birth, marriage, deaths etc.
In the economic factors, it includes development and improvement related to the wealth
as well as technology. When the person having the money then only they can make the changes
and on the basis of that they can make improvements as well (Chen, Yang and Liu, 2010). The
employees of Wellington Hospital have to use upgraded technology so that they can provide
solution to the multidisciplinary communities who are providing services to the different person
who are suffering from diseases.
In the demographic factors, it includes different factors which are profiles for population,
national as well as regional factors. It includes the size, gender, age as well as geographic
distribution of population of UK and these factors are included as the drivers in the UK
economy. The ministry bodies of UK have to do proper planning by using available resources in
the best manner so that they can manage the economy. At the national level, there are many
people who have suffered from the different diseases and they need proper support from the
government (Conrad and Barker, 2010).

Along with this they are having the ability to understand to the different things as well as
treatments which are given to the person who are suffering from the different diseases. Cultural
beliefs are differ in society and they affect the moral thoughts along with the behaviour (Evans,
2011). There are different approaches which helps in promoting health that how disease are to be
experienced and according to that they have to fulfil the needs and wants. There are different
cultural values which affect the society in a different manner which are:
Related to diversity: Diversity related to culture denotes the quality of services according
to the different type of culture in the society. In the multidisciplinary team, there are different
types of person who follow different culture and they have to give proper and appropriate respect
to each other (Golden and Earp, 2012).
Distribution to income and wealth: In different communities, person have different
income and ministry have to provide equal income but on the basis of religion and caste.
Religious belief: In the different societies and in multidisciplinary team, various person

(Griffiths and et. al., 2012).

which contain the following things:
Involvement- It is included in the changes in an service users and the carers on the bases
of planning, reshaping and the betterment in giving the quality of an service to the clients
(Gulliford and Morgan, 2013). By this the people is receiving the more benefits and they make
development in the skills and can do the improvement in the quality of the life. If there will be
small amount of changes would occur in the society then that would make impact on the health
and social care firms which provides the services, then they have to make changes services
according to the society.
Dignity and respect- The staffs of the health and social care should treat properly with the
peoples and make sure about that they would take care of it properly that would not affect on
their cultural values (Kleinman, 2010).

Accessible information- The staffs and the other workers has to be up-to dated which
would help them in getting proper knowledge and increasing their skills. An that will help in
make increase in the brand awareness.
Partnership working- It will be beneficial for the Wellington hospital to work in
partnership as that would help them in generating better ideas together, and they would be able to
make proper decisions together which would help in growing there firm in an better manner
(Reeves and et. al., 2011). It is better to work in partnership rather then in an single form as in
partnership they would have options of getting different kinds of ideas.

factors as well as communities. There are different models which helps in explaining the
inequalities related to social class in the health and social care (Reeves, Macmillan and Van
Soeren, 2010).
Behaviour model: In the social class, there are so many different people who are
damaging their health as well as promoting the behaviours in the term of consumption which
includes drug, alcohol etc.
Materialistic model: There are different people who are suffering from the different
diseases who are leaving in such areas which is harm by the pollution. According to Black
report, different circumstances which affect the social inequalities.
Psycho-social model: It having a influence on those people who feel bad (Thistlethwaite,
2012). This factor includes the control and assist in maintaining balance between the efforts and
rewards.
Life course model: This model help in developing as well as studied the investigation

In society, most of the disease are faced by the women less than the men. There are many
children who are below the age of 20 and suffering from danger diseases. According to the report
which is given by WHO, they have to provide proper treatments to the person who are suffering

from diseases and it also helps in overcoming with their problems (Abraham, 2010). Social as
well as economic factors includes the different type of factors which are distribution of income,
occupation etc. which is having a adverse influence on the health of people. There are so many
socio economic factors which are strongly interact with the health. For instance, if the income of
the individual person is less then there is lack of resources and sometime working condition also
having negative impact on the health of person. The employees of the firm have to utilise proper
and available resources which helps in providing quality of services.

3.1 Sociological concepts and theory to definitions of health and well-being
Health is a state of sound body as well as mind. Health and well being consist four factors
which includes physical, intellectual, emotional along with the social factors. Health is a state of
complete factors whether it is physical, mental as well as social well-being and they are not used
as a absence of diseases. Sociology helps in assuming that the working in society will depend
upon the healthy people and on the basis of that they can control their illness. There are various
type of health problem which the individual person can face in the society (Best and et. al.,
2012). The theories which are related to health and well-being in sociology are:
Biomedical: It helps in providing the freedom from diseases which includes pain or
anything. The biomedical model of health having the main focus on the biological factors. Along
with this it excludes social, psychological as well as environmental factors. There are so many
people who are addicted from drugs and these are proved as a Broken Society. They have to put
more focus on the physical process which helps in identifying the person who are addicted of
drugs and alcohol.
Clinical Iceberg model: This model is used by the employees of the firm and helps in
defining the large amount of illness which are affected by the various individual person. There
are so many people who provide proper support to the person who are suffering from the

cost. They have to manage all the work and also fulfil the needs and wants of the consumers as
well as they have to manage the risk.
Self-directed assessment: In the firm the work should be done in a partnership which helps in
making the changes and also assist in providing the best as well as qualitative services to their
patients (Currie and Lockett, 2011). This will succour Wellington Hotel in maintaining their
position in the competitive market.
3.4 Analyse social and health issues in terms to impact on the health and well-being of
individuals in society
The issues which are related to the health and social care and these issues having a impact
on the health of individual person who are leaving in the society (Golden and Earp, 2012). The
individual person wants the qualitative services from the employees of health and social care
organisation. If the business enterprise want to maintain the status then they have to deliver the
best services to their patients. In the Broken society, there are different type of person who are
suffering from the different disease which includes drugs, alcohol, loss of traditional values etc.
In providing the services Wellington Hospital does not discriminate the people according to their
cultural, caste, religion etc. and the employees of the firm have to provide the best services so
that patients can not face any issues and it help the company in maintaining the status in the
society (Evans, 2011). If the staff members of the firm discriminate the people then this will
having a adverse impact on their health. They have to provide equal treatments so that patients
will remain happy. The individual person who lives in the Broken Society and who are suffering
from the diseases does not discriminate among them. The workers of Wellington Hospital have
to provide the proper support by providing the quality of the services and proper care so that it
will impact on their status.

CONCLUSION
From the above carried out analysis it has been interpreted that sociology affect the health
of the person along with the services of the firm which are provided to their consumers. the
employees of Wellington Hospital provide proper services to their services users as well as they
do not discriminate to anyone and on the basis of that the staff members can understand as well
as analyse the different factors whether it is political, social as well as economic factors which
assist in providing the proper care to their patients. The Black report along with the Acheson
report of WHO commission determines the difference between the male and female in the
different countries and they are not discriminate the people from each other. The employees of
the business entity have to analyse the different theoretical concepts and also have to analyse the
social inequalities from their different perspectives. They have to do proper care that they have to
resolve all the inequalities which includes census, stratification, class structure etc.
