System Justification:
The proposed system will allow the Wenty Library efficiently and effectively manager
data. The librarian, management and members will be informed and updated all the time. The
librarian will be able to track borrow of books and returns easily. The organization has 15000
copies of books in their Wenty Library. Keeping track of the all the books is hard for the
librarian. The management does not get accurate and complete reports on existing members,
borrow of books and availability of books. The manual paper based works are prone to error and
often has inaccurate data.
The system will introduce automatic completion of back office processes. The system
will track a book from its entry to the Wenty Library to returns from the members. The system
can track the publisher, author and copy of each book simultaneously. This will allow the
librarian and members to search for books through various keywords. The system will also
generate fines for books renting automatically. Thus the system handles all the processes of the
Wenty Library accurately and provide enough support to each stakeholder.
Business Case and System Implementation Business Benefits:
The selected organization is Wenty Library that handles and monitors the daily
transaction of the Wenty Library. The organization registers new members into the system. The
system allows only the librarian to rent a book using a book renting form. The members can
login to the system using email and password to check their history of renting books and
associated fines. The business needs reports so that right decisions can be made. Wenty Library
also like to add, update and delete from library that must be reflected on the system.
The business will have following benefits from the proposed library management system.
