Executive summary
The WestConnex is the part of prolonged integrated transport of Australian government. For
understanding the Construction project management, the WestConnex Road, the interchange and
tunnel project that has the duration from 2015 to 2024 is chosen. It is meant for Parramatta Road
having the M5 and north-south corridors. The discussion and investigation for the project success
along with the role of the cost manager and QS is discussed. Apart from this, the importance of cost

and discussion criteria for the success project and role of QS or cost manager is demonstrated. Next,
the significance of cost planning to build projects is identified. Then, the reason why cost planning
developed the economic success of project is evaluated. Lastly, the ways the project team can affect
project success with corrective and preventive measures are analyzed.
Evaluating the criteria for the present project success and the role of cost
manager or QS:
Firstly, the technologies are to be incorporated. WestConnex’s project needs much
paperwork. Here, many agreements are there to be exchanged between the clients and the project. It
provides the permissions and ROIs to get filled. Here, the material checklists are to be retrieved.
Further, the planning is to be designed and documents of site readiness are to be filed. Besides, the
