INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity at the workplace is explained as promoting an quality of the
opportunities ad providing the equal chance to a person to attain potential and free from the
discrimination. It helps employees to work freely without facing any kind of the discrimination.
For executing the quality and diversity practices at workplace, managers need to adopt various
strategies which contribute in achieving business objectives within specific time period. This
present report is based on the WFC Contractors company. It is an award winning company
which is specialised in UK leisure industry. It is the company which have 40 year track record in
order to deliver high quality project management and main contractor services within the
industry. In present report will be discussed about project management plan by consisting
various aspects such as scope, quality, cost, communication and resources (Boehm, and
Dwertmann, 2015). There is going to discuss about the small scale investigation through
applying the quantitative and qualitative research methods for meeting the project aim and
objectives effectively. For the data collection and analysis, researcher use different tools which
will be discuss in this project.

In today's competitive world, Equality & Diversity has been considered as one of the
most essential element at workplace which provide various advantages and disadvantages to the
staff members. It is the method which reduces discrimination as each and every individual get

execute practices related to equality and diversity within the organisation in an effective manner
various strategies are adopted by the managers. From the last few years it has been analysed that
the concept of equality & diversity at the workplace plays very essential role as it provide equal
opportunities to the staff members working in the company (Cacchione, 2016). It will assist in
removing any kind of judgements which is generally based on the subject of stereotypes. It has
been analysed that there are ample number of business organisation facing such type of

going to be developed by the managers of organisation. Along with this, organisations like WFC
Contractors need to emphasis on the such factors which have their direct impact on the

Concept of equality & diversity at workplace

any kind of discriminations. However, it has been analysed that diversity define as the concept
which encompasses religion, age, colour, gender, race and any other traits. On the other hand,

treatment at the workplace. This will assist in enhancing the overall performance of the company
and gain competitive advantages at the marketplace. Apart from this, it has also been identified

It has been recommended to WFC Contractors, that they should execute all the legislation
at workplace related to Equality Act, 2010. On the basis of this act, each employee that
feel discriminated on the basis of gender, race and sexuality should have the right to treat
equally.
In addition to this, it is also very essential for the management team not to discriminate
on the basis of gender and for this managers need to develop some policies. According to
such policies, it has been said that if there is any kind of discrimination arise within the
organisation, managers are required to provide punishments.

pregnancy associated with diversification.
Managers of WFC Contractors, should treat their existing or old age employees equally
and fairly so that new staff members will be motivated and work in an effective manner

pregnant staff members need to be taken special care and avoid any kind of
discriminations which affect their overall functionality within the organisation.

to main activities of business such as problem solving, decision making that they can be

working within the organisation. Managers need to execute various policies and strategies
as per the code of conduct in order to get positive results.

workplace. In this project has been discussed about the strategies related to managing the
diversity in company. For conduct this investigation, I developed aim and objective related to
strategies of equality and diversity in company. Information has been collecting by developing
questionnaire from primary data collection method. I learned about managing the money and
time for conducting activities in an effective manner. Under this, I gained the effective
knowledge on managing resources and cost and this was easy for me to arrange project activities
and complete with in given time period.
M4 Value of the project management process and use of quality research to meet stated
objectives and support own learning and performance
At the time of doing this investigation, I analysed project management process is
essential in order to make a project successful. By collecting and grabbing proper
information of the concepts I can simply execute and implement all the activities that is
related to the project in an appropriate manner. Proper knowledge about the utilization of
resources help me in carrying out all the activities in an effective manner.

From the above study, it has been identified that diversity and equality practices is
helpful for the organisations who is working at global market. This report has also identified that
to retain employees for longer time there are various strategies which are needed to adopt by
the managers of the company. It is also analysed that to gain the number of opportunities at
workplace there is need to promote diversity & equality by business associations. The study
consist of different methods and techniques. All the researchers used qualitative methods of
research in order to generate good results. In addition to this, researchers and investigator used
questionnaire that is primary method to collect and gather information.
