Introduction
In the given study, research has been conducted on the “Whitbread PLC
Company”. The aims and objectives of the company will be discussed. A project
management plan will be produced inclusive of factors such as, scope, cost, time,
communication, risk, resources and quality. Work break down structure as well as a
Gantt chart will be produced to present the timeframe and stages of the project’s
completion.
Whitbread PLC is a public limited company, based at London and was found in the
year 1742 by Samuel Whitbread. It has headquartered in Houghton Regis, England,
UK. Richard Baker is the chairperson of the company, and Alison Brittain is the CEO
(whitbread.co.uk, 2018). This is a leisure and hospitality industry. The origin of the
company is in brewing.
The host country where this company is operating is the United Kingdom. The
country is also called as Great Britain. The Gross Domestic Product or GDP rate of
the country is higher than many other developed countries. This country has a high-
income economy as well as quite a high rating in Human Development Index
(telegraph.co.uk, 2019). The United Kingdom is one of the first industrialised
countries in the world.
