4. Develop a safety induction and training session


a. Overview of the existing policies and procedures
The existing policies and procedures which are frame are -
 There are financial management policies which are formulated within John Readings.
 All the activities within the financial systems will be conducted.
 The changes in the budgeting and taxation policies are also framed which helps in
responding to business and strategic goals of the organization.

b. Overview of organizations aims and objectives for WHS management
Aims and objectives for WHS management are described as follows -
Aim — To provide the Health and Safety to workers and new staff of John Reading
organization.
Objectives –
 To ensure that the workers and new staff within John Reading are following rules of
Health and Safety at the workplace.
 To protect health and welfare of the workers and new staff of the warehouse.

c. Details about the target audience
The audience which is being targeted are the young individuals as they are most
likely to perform better and create effective results while working in the organization. The
audience is being targeted so that John Readings is able to analyse that who are the major
target audience who are working effectively and are gathering the maximum amount of
profits and growth for the warehouse. The workers or the new staff the major of the
warehouse are identified as the target audience which is chosen.

d. Demonstrate how the recommendations are designed to address performance issues
Recommendations are designed to address performance issues so there are
improvements made in they systems and the process are taken into consideration by the
John Readings warehouse. The performance issues are solved by providing the training and
induction to the workers and new staff in the warehouse. Also, safe handling of the
equipment is also taken care of for the workers and new staff so that the workers and new
staff are in safe working environment and have no performance issues. To analyse
manually handling in the warehouse. The hazardous substance in the warehouse is the
major issue which has been identified by the workers.

e. Reference to WHS legislation, codes of practice or standards develop and train a
relevant safety procedure to an Australian Standard
There are certain WHS legislations which helps in training and developing safety
procedures to an Australian Standard are described as -
 Removal or prevention of health and safety risks which is as framed as soon as possible
under the American Standard are taken place.
 Developing relevant safety measures at the workplace so that the workers and new
staff are taking care of how effectively the legislation is being formulated by the John
Readings.

f. Discussion of how WHS issues are resolved in the workplace
The workplace issues can be resolved effectively in the manner with the help of -
 Communicating with the workers and new staff about the issues they are facing.
 Appropriate temporary measures to be resolved within the workplace so that the
workers and new staff are being taken care of.
 Time should be taken to permanently resolve issues which workers and new staff
within warehouse are facing.
These are some major issues which should be resolved at the workplace.
