with five employees, and creative, media, and the production department with forty-nine
employees. In addition, the organization plans to be located in two different locations that are in
New York and Los Angeles. The organization has already networked the two offices with a plan
to have a secure tunnel which will use IPSec to link the two locations. This raises the need to
have a windows server in place to enables sharing of the different services and resources. In
addition, with windows server, it will enable the organization network infrastructure to remain
secure, reliable, and to be manageable.

IT staff to manage the server 2016 through PowerShell. With Windows Server 2016 there are
fewer reboots required. WMW IT staff will not become frustrated with unnecessary reboots like
the previous editions. In addition, Windows server 2016 offers an easier remote management.
Other editions support replication in the world of Hyper-V which has been limited to
asynchronous replication of the virtual hard-disk but with Windows server 2016, WMW will be
able to replicate the entire volume which is located at the block level. In addition, one can choose
between asynchronous and synchronous replication. With this feature, an organization will be
able to perform a quick failover in case of catastrophe.
Windows Server 2016 provides the ability to build an available storage system which
uses only the attached disks on each and every code. This feature referred to as Storage Spaces

developed specifically for Windows domain networks. AD feature is included in Windows
server 2016 as set services and processes. The feature authorizes and authenticates all users

some of the services such as DNS client, windows Time, workstation, intersite messaging, and

DNS and DHCP
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol commonly known as DHCP is a network protocol
through which a client can request IT configuration. On the other hand Domain Name System
commonly as DNS is a function which can be compared to the telephone directory. The main
objective of the Domain Name System is translating domain names to Internet Protocol address.
A DNS is also mandated in maintaining domain names. As indicated in the first part of this
paper, WMW is intended to have ninety computer users meaning that the organization need to
have 5 Domain Name System servers, two ought to be located in New York since it will have the
lowest number of users while three in Los Angeles as it will have the highest number of users.
WMW need to configure all the DNS servers in both locations for internal and external. This is
done so as to maintain security. The external DNS ought to have names such as
WMWLA.org.net and WNWNewYork.open.net (Thomas, 2016) .
On the other hand, DHCP will enable the organization to automatically assign a certain user
computer to a certain IP address. There are about six steps which are;
1. Turning on a certain computer with a certain DHCP client
