Wireless location tracking position sensors in the aviation industry
Description:
In the airport there are thousands of staffs and related assets that are spread over the
entire airport premises measuring square miles, airports being complex in structure. The
tracking of the assets such as the baggage of the passengers and staff location has many
benefits to the operations and the maintenance by aiding them in locating these and
increasing the efficiency of their jobs (Potter 2015).
Feelings:
According to me the tracking of location in the premises of airport is important
because of several facts such as:
1) Personnel Tracking- This helps track the staffs throughout the premises of the airport
including the terminal as well as the apron by the help of their cell phones or some dedicated
tracking tags enabling them to be effective in their tasks. Time as well as attendance can be
observed.
2) Improving the security system- With proper information the security personnel those who
are deployed in the airport can manage the operations related to security effectively.
Evaluation:
The location tracking of the assets in the premises of the airport can be evaluated by
the advantages it provides to the airport staffs as well as the passengers. Inspite of security
personnel been deployed in places there can be some hacks and here the location tracking can
play an important role in avoiding such nuisances. For different types of operations like
information gathering, the sensor nodes are having a processor, a memory as well as a
supporting hardware.

Conclusion:
It can be concluded that the location tracking system in the aviation industry is
essential owing to the advantages it is laced with. The system can guide and show the real-
time view of the assets location and any such reports can be obtained in a click away.
Actions:
The actions that can be undertaken through the tracking system are locating the assets
as when required and this could help in emergency cases such as maintenance and keep a
track of the location of personnel.
