Introduction:
Many wireless networks or mobile computers like a laptop, personal digital assistants are very
popular nowadays. Most of the applications of mobile computing are becoming and running on
mobile computers which are defined with multimedia like audio conferencing, video
conferencing and live movie watching, etc. In this report, many multimedia sources of
communication are defined in wireless networks like mobile and also described issues and
effects of multimedia communication over a wireless network. This report also discussed the
effect of mobility on multimedia sources of communication in wireless networks. Through this
report, the students will learn how multimedia work does over the wireless network and the
fundamentals of multimedia transmission and its challenges. This report also establishes a
number of mobile network and wireless network concepts and also describes multi-hop
networks, ad hoc networks, radio networks of cognitive, and delivery of mobile content after the
discussion of problems from the multimedia network. At last, this report presents and shows the
major challenges of simulation and modeling of multimedia networks in dynamic areas over
wireless networks.
Abstract -
A multimedia application is used for many fields such as communication, entertainment, and
electronic devices and with the help of multimedia applications, people can use anytime and
everywhere for communication, send information. The multimedia application provides various
challenges and opportunities for the development and research for the support for this application
over technologies of wireless networks. A short term of multimedia application is that to focus
on the design of quality of service over specific technology and long term of application of
multimedia is that to customize various multimedia services over a mixture of accessing
technologies.

device that is represented by the presentation of integrative and integrated graphics, video, audio,
gaming, sports, TV broadcasting and text for communication with other people and other
sources. Identifying a new application of wireless multimedia and also for building up a new
advanced algorithm and system are generated by these trends to maintain this wireless
multimedia application. Many clients and users are connected to the multimedia content which is
increasingly and also it is accessed by clients and users from anywhere with various channels of
communication like wireless networks and the internet. Many technologies are used in a wireless
network in which wireless networks are not connected with the cable of any type. Wireless
technologies allow communicating with each other without using any wires and cables and with
the help of wireless technologies many people and organizations can talk to each other over long
distances. There are three types of networks is used in wireless networks.
1. LAN (local area network)
2. WAN (wide area network)
3. PAN (personal area network)
Local area network is used anywhere in a building where a single room and also a whole campus
of building are included. Local area networks use waves of radio. A wide area network is used in
one mobile phone to another mobile phone in which it is accessed by one signal to another signal
from anywhere. A personal area network is a short-range of network such as Bluetooth. It is used
in short distance approx 20-30 feet (Xiong, 2019).

Many multiple devices are included over a wireless network which is used to send the
information and communication with other users who lives a very long distance. Many devices
are included with communication processes like modem of computer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,
Smartphone, many network cards, etc. A telephone is a communication device which may be
wireless or wire but nowadays wireless telephone is used to talk.
Bluetooth – Bluetooth is a multimedia device that is included in the communication process over
a wireless network. Bluetooth is a local area network that is used in short distance location and is
connected between two devices like computer to mobile phone or phone to phone or computer to
computer. With the help of Bluetooth people can send videos, audios, pictures and many
information files in the format of pdf or docs.
Wi-Fi – It is also a multimedia device over a wireless network and it is a wide area network. Wi-
Fi is used for many areas like home, business, public places, and also used for personal purposes.
To connect Wi-Fi with a computer and phone, Wi-Fi adaptor is used which is included in
wireless network. In this device, an AP (access point) connects with the network and any kind of
communication has an access point. Multiple access point is connected each other to handle the
huge amount of users. Nowadays Wi-Fi is used free everywhere such as at Airports, Railway
stations, public places, many big organizations, etc (Collart, 2014).
Computer Modem – Modem of Computer is the best example of communication which is used
for receiving and sending singles that allow to computer to communicate with another computer
with the help of the telephone. A modem is a type of hardware device which connects with the
router or many computers. There are two types of modem is used for communication purpose
that is cable modem and DSL modem. A cable of modem is used contact with a service provider
of internet and with the help of landline and it exchanges a signal of analog to a signal of digital.
A DSL modem is also used to contact with provider service of internet and Motorola is an
example of DSL modem.
Smartphone – In modern life, Smartphone is a very useful and important device for
communication purpose that is also wireless device. Nowadays touch screen Smartphones are
used to allow people to communicate each other. Many functions are used in smartphones for
people to entrainment purposes like games, many socials apps, and business use programs and
also many communication applications are available.
Network cards – for communicating, NIC (network interface card) is used as a network adapter
and Ethernet card. The network interface card is also included in wireless network in which
interface card of network is an expansion card of a computer that is connected over the wireless
network. In the interface of internet cards, two networks used which are internet network and
home network (Chang, 2013).

Many issues obtain of wireless multimedia application –
1. Wireless multimedia application support high quality or level of a video stream for
enhancing the rate of information for Bluetooth over wireless channels. This stream
depends on the type of important content at the level of a video frame to diminish the
impact of frequency of radio, noise, and interference and also the type of content at video
frame quality. It produces because the bit rate of the information is decreased. To achieve
the best and improve video quality over the bit rate is done via imbalanced protection in
streaming of Bluetooth. This stream also defines a radio type frame quality and sizes
camera pans, zooms, etc.
2. Wireless local area network (WLAN) is not appropriate for traffic voice and it is
