Abstract
Wireless network security is a kind of approach which is designed and implemented
for computer networks and servers in order to ensure the security of a wireless network. In
this modern era, it is very important to improve the security of wireless networks because
hackers can access computer devices of users (Zhao, Yu, Li, Yan, & Leung, 2016). The key
purpose of this research study is to describe the concept of wireless networks along with their
importance in information technology and critically review security issues occurred in
wireless networks. We have selected this topic for the research because it can help readers
for understanding the issues linked with wireless networks and analyse risk factors associated
with computer and wireless devices. The literature review will provide a way for analysing
the viewpoints of other researchers and data collection methods will be adopted for obtaining
fresh and new information about wireless networks. It is observed that there are various types
of challenges and issues occurred in wireless networks such as Ad-hoc, security issues, data
breach, and cyber-attacks like malware, DOS, phishing and many more (Chelli, 2015). This
research paper shows the security-related problems linked with wireless networks and
provides several strategies for improving the privacy of networks and devices. It is suggested
that consumers should adopt advanced security tools like firewall, antivirus and robust
technology in order to detect traffic signals form computer. It is concluded that lack of
security and the use of unauthentic servers enhance the rate of cyber-attacks and security
issues in wireless networks.
