INTRODUCTION
Current international issues is that issues which is occurred any of the places, the issues
can create the problems for the people who are involved in the issues these issues can be social,
economical, and many more, the issues can be on any of the topic and can be related to any of
the things(Adlerand Pouliot., 2011). There are many issues which are making problem for the
people and the country. In India now a days the main issues which is going on is the women
empowerment issues which is effecting the women of India they are facing the problem related
to it.
TASK
Role of Woman in the work in India.
Women working is the issue which is spread all over the world, it is an universal issue
which are faced by the all countries. It is the issues of the women because there are no particular
environment for the women, it is refers to making the environment where the women has the
freedom to do the things they want and to make there own decisions so that they can make
beneficial decision for personal and for the society. This helps in increasing the economical,
social, and the political strengthen of the women in the whole world. It is to give the equal rights
for them in the society as men. They should have the complete control on the their life within the
home and outside in the society(Chenand et,al., 2010). They should get the freedom to make
their own choices and decisions about there life. Women should get equal rights to do things in
social, religious and the other activities like men. Woman should get equal rights in the society,
they should provide the opportunity to do their studies. They should get the choices to do all
things the employment which the men can do or they get. Women empowerment is important as
because, the have of the population in the world is covered with the woman and most of them are
not educated and unemployed so the main reason in having the man in workplace is this women
are not allowed to do the work and to get educated so this is also effecting the economy of the
world. Equal and competent women are now equal and they are more advanced then the man in
some of the social and economical activities. Earlier women are not allowed to go for the higher
studies so there talent were wasted but as increasing of the forward thing people are allowing
girls to do there higher studies so now are able to show and use their talents(Guptilland
Morrisoneds., 2013). This can help in development of the the society if they will earn then they

can help there family as well as the society also. While the women's got the opportunity to earn
they are making effort to earn not only for but for the family also and they can making benefits
to the society and they are increasing the economy also. This can decrease the poverty also as
because sometime the male earning is also not that much sufficient for the family so if women
will earn then it can provide help for them. The best thing is that the women are taking part in the
national development activities in which they are performing well and making the nation proud.
Level of perception which is faced by the women's in the workplace, the have to face
many things as because now also there are only few peoples who thinking is modern so they can
have no issues in having women's at there workplace, but many of the people does not accept the
changes so maybe by these things women's has to face many things, like by the unsupportive
culture women's are effected 28% by this and men are 25% affected, the culture is not allowing
the and supporting the women's to do work and to go out from home they are still making some
of the boundaries for the women then the men(Keck and Sikkink., 2014). They have to face the
high level of the harassment in comparison to the men they have to face many problems for that
as because they do not know how to protect themselves and how to take actions. In comparison
to the men they know to handle the situations ans know how to deal with the problems. So some

time the people misuses the feeling of the women's and they has to face the problems related to
all that thing going in the organisation. Women's has to do and manage many things her work,
family and many more so it is important to have the proper balance all the things but some of
them can be able to manage work and there family so that women choice the career and they
leave there children's to there grandparents, some of the women's are facing the harassment in
the workplace so this reason also make them in problem in doing the work because they do have
the ability to adjust with the situations and they can be able to make any decision and they do not
know how to react on the situation(Kraus., 2011). They should know how to react and take
action in the situation, they did not have any idea about that so they use to face these types of
problems. Men's are been treated different then the women's they both takes part in all the
activities equally and the work same but some of the people then also make differentiation in
both the genders all the people are different and they all think differently but the issues are been
created then also in the workplace. Lack of role model is also the main thing which is effected to
the women's they have ability to do the things and the use to do but the main credit now also
goes to the women maybe because they do not have any role model they have many leaders to
follow but no one is there to inspire them and if they would like to take help of the men then it
could be success more because the thinking way of the women and the men is different so all of
these problems which creates the main issues for the women to do the best in the workplace and
they can be able to make anything good or they are still facing it(Lauand Lau., 2012).
In today's modern world also women are facing a lot of problems on their workplace
where they are not getting adequate returns of what they are providing . Due to the various
problems faced by them on workplace such as gender wage gap, work life balance, harassment
they are able to use their full potential i.e. they are not able to work in a free environment so their
knowledge and skills remain unused and are wasted. Due to these problems they fear to work
outside in nights and also it decreases their morale and this gives birth to a complex feeling in
them that they can never live a life where they can live freely with their choice without any fear
or restrictions. All these problems and their effect are diverse but then also there are some ways
by which they can be solved. Most important among them is that they should be well educated as
education will increase their self confidence and also it will widen their view to look at the things
and will be more aware about their constitutional and legal rights, Human rights and
reproductive rights which will make them powerful in their work as well as social life(Lewis.,

2015). For all this literary campaign should be organised in which only girls should be provided
with scholarships for free education and also free books and food facilities should be provided so
that all can participate without any financial issues. Various national as well as state level
commissions for women and NGOs should be established. ICDS programmes, health educational
programmes should be undertaken so that they can be made well aware about their health related
issues and also knowledge about various diseases should be made available to them so that in
case they suffer from any such disease they can get proper treatment so that their work does not
suffer due to their health complications. The thought process of their families should be changed
through various ways so that the husband and his family can treat the working women with
respect and should help them in relieving their mental and physical stress by providing them with
the facilities to reduce their work load(Lytrasand de Pablos., 2011). Crèches facilities should be
provided to them near to their workplace so that proper care of her child could taken and she can
work freely without any stress. All the organisations should provide their employees with proper
training facilities and they should be trained about what should be done in case someone
misbehaves with them and should be told the appropriate authority where they can report about
it. Strict rules should be made by the company to deal with such cases so that female employees
can feel safe and secured. Proper conveyance facilities should also be provided for those who
have the problem of conveyance. Government can also play a very important role in it by
providing attention to this vulnerable section of the society by providing them with protection
against sexual harassment and making sure of it that they should not be discriminated on the
ground that they are women. All these measures will help in reducing the problems for women
but the major change will appear when they themselves will start fighting back for their respect
and dignity in the society. They should become confident enough so that they can demand
equality for them in the society and will fight to get their rights and demand proper educational
and other facilities for themselves and be supportive in all the programmes launched in relation
to women empowerment and implementation of the rules and laws effectively. There many
problems and difficulties which the women's are having in their workplace(Obstfeldand et,al.,
2010). From the early time the men are more preferred to be working in the organisation and in
the workplace, and it is continually favoured like that only, women's are not preferred more like
the man's as the man's can do many works and the different types of the works and they think
that women's cant do. As it is been seen that women's has lack of confidence in them as they are
Document Page
not having that much confident like the men's this is mainly because they dint get chance to go
out as men's do. They did not make an proper judgement of there selves as men do about there
work. Women's does not get satisfaction with anything easily. There are some of the major issues
which women's are facing at the work place which is Equal pay, harassment, career opportunity,
having children while creating the career, balance in the work life. Only some percent of the
women thinks that they are getting the same amount of pay as the men in an same position, but
most of the women thinks that they are getting less pay the the men at the same
post(OppermanAdlerandt., 2011).
Women's has the quality to do the work like men's they should be provided the
opportunities so that they can achieve there goals, the organisation should provide them the
things which are required and the should do whatever it is needed like they should make
mentoring in an organisation women's should get the proper training and should get an coach
which can give them the proper training and the proper knowledge about the things which is
included in the organisation so that they can understand each and everything going in the
organisation so they do not have to face problems. When the women goes beyond the
assumptions then they should be rewarded for that then but every time the cash reward is not
enough for them if they would get some specialised rewards like they would get the pay off
leaves then they could spend there personal life so they can become more happy then by getting
the money as rewards. They should be given an opportunities to lead some of the projects so that
they can take decisions and can become bold. Their problems should be listened carefully so that
they can be able to share their problems with the peoples in the organisation which they trust
most they, women's should get the respect over the place where they are working and they
should be treated properly so that they get the confidence and can be motivated. They should be
treated equally as men's, they should be given the projects which can able to bring out their
capabilities and the unique idea with which they can work(Stern., 2010).
There should be some strategies and plans made to make changes in the problems so that
they can do better things in the problematic situations also. There should be many ways of the
problems should be aligned by the strategies plans so that they get the solutions of the problems
easily and would face any of the problems they should make the plans to solve the problems
facing by the women's in the organisation so that they get the motivations to do the things and to
handle the situations which they will face in there life it will help inside the organisation and

outside the organisation. Women's should get the opportunities to be involved in the community
so that they can get the opportunities to speak and give there views and they take decisions and
they will be able to get more knowledge from that(Stice., Becker and Yokum., 2013). The
organisation should organise an training sections which can help in developing the courage of the
women's to fight with the problems so which they face in the day to day life, they should provide
the education which can help them in decision making and it can be beneficial for them because
if they will get all these things to learn and to do then they can be able to take decision ans can
take the action which is require in the situation alone they then does not need anybody else for
that these all things should help women's in improving there conditions and to make independent
decisions.
CONCLUSION
Above we have discussed about the various aspects in relation to working women like
what all complexities are they facing and what is the effect of it on them and how can the
concerned issue be solved. From all the discussion we can conclude that the condition of the
women in working sector in the country is not at all appreciable and there is a need to take
extreme steps in relation to improve their status in the social and working sector and for this not
only the society but also they themselves have to take some bold steps to secure their rights and
position in the society.
