What has Improved for Women in Present
There are various things which have changed for women and now they have better
and improved place in society. There are various examples of these such as right to buy
Property, Right to Vote, Right to work in Civil Services and Legal Profession and Right to
Claim Equal pay. Earlier women were not able to buy property now they can do that and can
claim their right to buy property. Another right and improvement in situation of women is
right to vote. Earlier women were considered not to have knowledge and understanding so
that they can contribute in making government which is one of the most important decisions
for every individual in society. But now time has changed and women can also vote and
contribute ion making government who is responsible for well being and development of
society and country.
Civil services are considered to be most important service sector in a country. This
requires that people working in this sector are highly qualified. Women as they were not
allowed for higher education and then were not considered as qualified as required for civil
services. Now women have right to work in civil services and they can work in civil services
if they are qualified as required for that. Presently women are also working as Lawyer and
Judge these are important legal profession in which earlier women were not allowed to work.
Women now can claim equal pay. Though there are sectors and positions where both
male and female workers are working but and even after being equally qualified and skilled
but now women can claim equal pay as male employees.
What have not changed for Women
Social status and place of women have improved in society yet there are various
things which are same as they were earlier. These things are household Responsibilities, so
many things have changed women are working just like man in every sector but still women
are required to fulfil household responsibility. They are required to and at the same time they
are expected to fulfil household responsibility which includes household chores and taking
care of their children and family members. This also includes that women are the one who
still requires taking care of their kids.
Other thing which not has changed is Sexism. This means discrimination and
prejudice on the basis of gender of individual and women have always been victim of this

prejudice and discrimination. This affect woman and they are required to work on roles
which others think are appropriate for them. On the basis of this sexism women are
considered weak than man, which is not true. This sexism also includes the belief that men
are superior to women. Such things affect condition and situation of women in society.
Representation in Government is another facto9r which still needs to improve when it comes
to women participation. Tough women can participate in government their participation is
very limited. This needs to increase and participation is women should be more than which is
in present and definitely should be equal as men.
