1. Review:
In the given case study the Woodhouse Recruitment is a Melbourne based recruitment
agency in Australia. The Woodhouse Recruitment offers the recruitment services and this
services includes the screening and sourcing to hire candidates. Their main aim of the
business is to hire quality candidates for the clients of them. According to the case study the
Woodhouse Recruitment agency is specialized in the area of the IT, accounting,
administration and in the sales and marketing. The company is now having total number of
30 active clients and the management team of the organization is looking for continuous
innovation and improvement of the system. From the case study various type of issues have
been detected which is actually not good for any type of organization. The service standards
of the company is clearly not defined which is creating problem for the customers to
understand the deliverables of the organization. With this no performance indicators is
available to measure how effectively the organization is achieving the business goals. This
can be a main reason for the employee demotivation.
The organization is missing the strategy of social media marketing. This means the
organizations is missing a high amount of candidates who are looking for a job in the
specialization category of the Woodhouse Recruitment. The staff professional development
of the organizations is very much poor as there is no mechanism to keep the skills of their
employees up-to-date. Also, the organization does not have any type of sustainability
initiatives. The sustainability is important to enhance the working environment quality and
also it helps to reduce the total operating cost. Enhancing the quality of the working
environment motivates the employees towards work which is missing in this case.

2.1 Improvement and Innovation for business:
Continuous improvement is required for a business and competition as it helps to
improve the product quality (Clark, Silvester and Knowles 2013). An improved product
quality can increase the satisfaction of the customer. Thus it can help to increase the profits,
productivity and the efficiency of the business.
The innovation helps the businesses to bring the changes in the current system to
make it more effective in the context of products, process and ideas (Steiber and Alänge
2013). It helps to create dynamic process to improve the business performance.
2.2 Trend Analysis:
From the statics it is determined that the income percentage is increasing with the
time which is a good indication. In last two financial years in has increased 10% and 9%
respectively. With that the 60% of the total revenue is generated form the old clients but the
fill rate is very much low which is 40%. Higher fill rate can increase the profit of the
organization. In next year the target fill rate for the organization is 47%.
Opportunities:
Social media marketing strategy can be applied for the better marketing which will
generate more revenue (Zikmund et al. 2013).
Increasing the operation area is also a great solution.
Physical ads and the digitals ads, both can be used for publicity of the organization.
2.3 Evaluation of Woodhouse Recruitment:
Operation: The main operation of the organization is screening, sourcing and
selecting candidates then recruit them in suitable company. Supply Chain: The supply chain of the organization consists receptionist,
administration manager and 5 recruitment consultant who recruits the candidates.

Service Delivery: Service is given to 30 companies by recruiting candidates for the
suitable job position for the companies. Things Working Well: The fixed 30 clients and the consultancy service is going well
for the organization. Improvements Needed: More professional consultants are needed and improved
marketing strategy can be implemented for attracting more people.
2.4 Business Performance:
Performance of the business is good for now but increasing competition in the market
can be big threat for the organization. Considering this it can be concluded that overall
performance is little bit disappointing.
2.5 Existing System:
Existing system is not so much supportive to develop the business further. So some
additional performance measures is required. The additional performance measures can be
professional development planning and integrating the strategy of the social media.
2.6 System sustainability:
Sustainability can be implemented for this case. For example, the initiative of green
environment (Bansal and DesJardine 2014).
Recommendation: Digital media usage increase and highly qualified consultant recruitment.
2.7 Example of innovative business:
Jobsearch can be considered as an innovative business in this field which has used the
instagram platform to get the success (Jobsearch 2016). They used it as a social media
strategy.

candidates (SEEK 2016). It is beneficial to use their services because they have very wide
range of network for the jobs.

From the discussion it is found that the organization needs to focus on the marketing

of the organization.
There are also risks related with these type of initiatives such as fake profile presence in the
social media website and also may the patterned companies may think that this company does
not work on the consultants improvement. In such case they may left the agency.
