INTERVIEW SUMMARY AND REFLECTION
In the context of the Woodside borough in New York City it has been seen that there are
different health related issues present and should be considered for the change. In this context,
the health care professionals responsible for the health of the community people should be
interviewed. Based on the interview it has been seen that the health care professional identified
the childhood obesity is a dire issue and the poverty and lack of education are the factors which
affects the health condition of the Hispanic community more. Hence, they seek the appropriate
reformation of the situation. The factor of cultural belief of the Hispanic population and the lack
of education creates the gap despite of having all the resources in the community. However,
poverty rate of the community is also a factor that affects the health condition of people. The
solution of this negative situation would be the effective health promotion campaign
development which focuses on education development among people. Moreover, subsidized care
delivery can be considered as well. These will effectively change the situation. Now, the health
educators, community nursing practitioners and the physicians should collaborate with the
government to provide the education to the people. These professionals will educate and
empower the Hispanic people and also provide necessary health care. Now, this plan of health
promotion can have barriers such as cultural and behavioral barriers. Hence, the health care
professionals should implement or should be competent with cultural differences. Specially as
the Hispanic population is different in cultural context and also poses different beliefs
(Betancourt et al., 2016). Thus, the care professionals should consider these issues. Based on all
these interview related inferences it can be stated that the education development is most
important and it should be considered with the cultural competence factors (Subica et al., 2016).
Moreover, the health improvement is very much important for the people of the community
especially the children of Hispanic population.

INTERVIEW SUMMARY AND REFLECTION
Based on the interview I have obtained the knowledge about the importance of the health
promotion plan development. Moreover, I can also reflect that the possibility of the change in the
situation is there and should be considered with utmost priority. Hence, it can be stated that the
process of the health care should consider the patient education, in this case the community care.
Other than this, the analysis of the community health is also required with higher priority. Based
on the analysis a health care professional can build a plan for health promotion focusing on the
needs of the community. In this case, the Hispanic population of the community needs proper
education regarding the obesity rate reduction. However, it has been seen that the cultural
competence is the most useful skill of the health care professionals in these kinds of situations.
Hence, I can reflect that the I should focus on the development of the communication and the
cultural competence skills so that I can develop the insight about the community health analysis
and providing best support and care to the community people (Henderson et al., 2018).
