The report aims to analyse the study of organisational behaviour in a company.
Organisational behaviour is all about how the people behave and act within a company while
working different task and activities. There are a lot of people involved at single workplace to
achieve mutual objectives. These people share their skills and talent with each other to achieve
these goals and objective. Therefore everyone has different behaviour and prospective towards
working which creates a whole workplace environment. It is a study of people interaction to
make the business effective (Nuckcheddy, 2018). This report is going to build a case study on
organisational behaviour of Woolworths Company. It is an Australian supermarket which is
established in 1924 in New Zealand. The company send all the consumer food items and earning
highest revenue. The report is going to discuss about the issue of the company in their
organisational practice. These issues will be come to a conclusion by exploring alternative
solutions and focus on taking better action for future development.

Woolworths is a largest Supermarket of Australia which sells all kinds of consumer products
in order to satisfy customer needs. It is a retailer of variety of product which sells under one roof.
It has 800 stores at National level which has around 30000 employees. The company has
effective platform for employees working and managing their behaviour. In Woolworth,
organisations have a hierarchy system in order to keep control over how the employees perform
into the company. Due to having large operations the company needs to maintain a chain of
communication in which all the employees act as per set guidelines and rules. The scenario
showcase that it is not an easy task to manage each and every employee and meet with the
business productivity. There are many challenges and issues encounter while talk about company
employees behaviour which impact on the efficiency of organisation. The issues could be
empowering workforce for work hard managing workforce diversity improve ethical behaviour
and manage workplace conflicts. These are the common issues which decline the potential of
company to grow and expand into other market.

The purpose of the studies to analyse the effectiveness and importance of organised behaviour in
Woolworth’s worth. It is always that the company follow a hierarchy system in which the head
of the branch is responsible for overall performance of the supermarket (Khaola, and Rambe,
2020). Below this stage, senior managers and day to day managers are performing their activity
and monitor all the stock and staff. All the employees are needed to report to their senior
managers in order to ask any doubts and take guidelines. Apart from this, the company fails to
manage their workforce for long term in the organisation. In this dynamic competitive world, it
is necessary to bring frequent changes as per customer demand which create pressure among
employees. This shows that the people could not deal with the pressure effectively and it results
in their De-motivation (Jacobs, and Manzi, 2020). The company maintain and informal
environment in which no authorities and responsibilities are divided among level and Middle
level employees. This impact on workplace activities which get delay and conflict arises. The
study will focus on addressing the issue of managing the change in behaviour within employees
due to having change in the business environment.
Investigated results
With the help of Investigation, it has identified that number of employees are getting pressurize
work situations in modern workplace. The companies are begin to being attentive about modern
requirements which requires digital, technological and innovative changes into product and
services. The employees are working in Woolworths reacting differently due to having different
culture attitude, perception and values while working. Our national behaviour is study about all
the changes take place in the values and performance of employees which give rise to new
challenges for the company. Maintaining relations and coordination is a key success factor of
organisation which could beer any change in the workplace environment. When efforts get
collaborative and supportive, no one can stop employees to work hard and being motivated. It
has presented in the investigation that people get motivated through many factors like rewards
recognition appraisal positive work place and many more (Hosain, 2019). When there will be
regular communication among all the employees they will get to know each other and do not
hesitate while asking any doubts. This is one of the main problems facing by Woolworths by
following a hierarchy system. In which the low level of employees could not report their

behaviour of employees by giving them opportunity to be responsible and authorised for
their task.

situation. The managers need to be flexible in using right problem solving technique at right
way which would not affect a cordial relationship among employees.

the report has concluded that organisational behaviour may bring challenges of employees
productivity response and diversity. this could be minimise through being involved in regular
communication which will cover half of the problems of workplace.
