Introduction
Work-based experience is increasing very rapidly nowadays. The Work Based Experience is
explained with an example: if there is a candidate named X and is a fresher in the field. He or
she wants the company experience and want to learn the work and wanted that how to survive
in the company environment than, Work Based Experience is the best way if a person, want
to enhance itself. The person will work for an organization then that person will learn and
acquire the work experience for that organization.

P1.1 Research and evaluate suitable organizations that could provide industry
experience
If someone is working for any organization then he or she will definitely get the work
experience of that field. There are many of the organization for which any of the individuals
will get the working experience. By taking care of the given scenario in the brief, discuss any
two or three organizations for which the career scope is good.
Some of the sectors are described below:
IT Services: This sector is the most valuable and interesting sector in the world. Career scope
in the IT sector is at a peak. There are many opportunities in this sector. A fresher in this field
will gain a huge amount of knowledge in a few months. If a person has to work for the IT
services than that person has to learn about the field and have the knowledge of the terms
related to the field. IT stands for “Information Technology” in which an organization first
plan, implement, deliver, control and operate the project given by any client. There are many
different fields chosen by an individual for career scope:

To negotiate with work and academic supervisor one has to plan a perfect proposal which
will showcase his/her abilities and capabilities in the field. The person has to explain how
he/she was survived in the circumstances of the company and how they had handled that
pressure. The proposal is to be unique and attractive so that the interviewer will call you first.
The proposal should include “Name of the department”, “the field in which the work has to
be done”, “the name of the organisation for which the individual has to work”, “specifying
the name of the sector”, “past work experience”, “career scope in that field”.
For example, if there was a person who is working as a software developer in the company
Capgemini and he or she wants to switch that company. So, the individual has to make a
perfect proposal to HR for scheduling a meeting for a job interview.

P1.3 Recognise the business constraints on the work experience offered
Every business has their own up’s and down’s. Some businesses have 12 months seasons
whereas some businesses have some particular months in the year. Like hotel management
sector have their seasons depends on the location and the holidays. In the off season their rent
and food are very cheap because the competition is high whereas in the holiday season time
the prices of rooms and food are very high in every hotel because all the hotels are busy in
serving their customers.
As seen in the tour and travel business, they also have seasons in holidays so the packages are
very high and in the down time their prices are low that anyone can easily afford it.
Talking about the IT sector, there is no peak or season in this sector because they all go with
the stock market and their prices are fixed and go with the stocks of the company. They have
same business for whole year.

Working as a Software developer in the organization, there are many of the works which are
to be done to satisfy the client with his or her needs. The work of a software developer is just
not that to develop a software of a given scenario, the overall work is to satisfy the customer
needs and make that application realistic and easy to use for everyone.
The responsibilities which have to done by an employee in the industry:
Customer satisfaction: The customer satisfaction is the major responsibility of an employee.
The employee has to take care of all the needs of client and make that application according
to their needs. The application must be easy to use and must have updates in every month to
add new functionalities and removes all the bugs from that application.
Organization Value: The value and respect of the organization depends only on the
customer review. So, the employee has to take care that the application or the project
completed by the individual is efficient and helpful and does not have any bug and updates
are provided every month.
Team Work: In every big organization, any work done by any individual is done in a team.
Every project is done in an organization is done in a team with the views and thought of
everyone present in a team.
Customer Records: Always maintain the records of the client such as Name, contact info,
address info, type of project and name of the project.
Writing and editing content: The job of a developer is to edit and write the new content for
the website or for the application.
Designing webpage layout: to design the layout of the webpage using HTML and CSS.
Determining technical requirements: The technical requirements of the website or
application is determined thoroughly.
Creating back up files: One has to create the backup files, because if the data of the
application is lost with any action so the files are backed up with the files.

Animations: To make any website or application attractive developers has to use animations
for give good look and feel.
Multimedia: If someone has to add some audio and video in his or her file or they can do it
easily.
