INTRODUCTION
Work based learning is defined as an educational strategy which provides students to real
life work experiences. Where they can apply his all technical, professional, and academics skills
and develop their work abilities (Wall, 2017). It connects workplace to the classroom for
preparing students for career development. In this current report reflective analysis of work
based learning experiences will be done by using skill audit and making personal development
plan. After that a short report will be produced on progress planning. In addition, to this the
current study will identify those skills and knowledge which are required for performing work
role and this report will outline the planning for a future career role.
MAIN BODY
Undertake and document a skill audits and from this produce a personal development plan
Skill audit: It is essentially a process for measuring and recording the skills of an
individual and assessment of research skills and knowledge of the student (Collaborative, 2018).
This audit also identifies the needs for training and personal development. The main purpose of
conducting this audit is to identify the skills and knowledge that the individual requires, as well
as the knowledge already have.
Strength:
The major skill I have is communication skills
as I can easily communicate to everyone. I
transmit and receive information easily.
The another skill I have is Problem solving
skills because I have creative and innovative
mind so I am easily understood the problem
and solved problems in very time.
The most power full ability I have is
Negotiation skills which helps in avoiding
future conflicts and problems with influence
the behaviour of another and
weakness:
My Computer skills is not good so, am does
not work properly on virtual platforms, it
affects me badly.
The another skill which reduces my strength is
Time Management it does not lead to
accomplishing my goals and can make a work
life balance problem.
I am does not active listener the reason behind
that is not concentrating on what a speaker
speaks but focusing on the personal appearance
of the speaker.

Threats:
I have limited amount of time to search and
apply for a job due to my current commitments
and education
I am getting easily distracted so it can hinder
my quality of work
The largest threat I am facing right now is
obstacle of finishing up my education and
competition with others seeking the same
success in the same field.
Personal Development Plan: It is all about creating a long term goal for your career and
thinking about how you will achieve it. For making PDP plan firstly reflects on the current
situations where you are existing (Issayev, Masalimova. and Magzumova, 2018.). After that,
finding out where you have to improve, what opportunities are available, to you and identify the
factors which are beyond your control and at last the strategies that could help you in completion
of your future goal.

In every business a Finance Manager is required for managing the firm's finance.
Sometimes they are known as financial controllers, as they are responsible for managing a
company's financial aim-output from day to day decisions and responsible for the financial
health of the organization (De Leo, and Forester, 2017). This person performs all the financial
activities which a business required the most. For performing day to day operations every
organization needs finance and that finance is raised and allocate by financial manager only.
For becoming a finance manager, I have to completed my bachelor’s degree in finance
business administrations firstly. After completing this I have to do master's degree in finance for
advanced knowledge of finance so it helps me to improves job prospects and leads to career
advancement. Thereafter, gain a work experience in the finance field, so I can apply my

theoretical knowledge in practical life. I also learn strong maths skills and the good
communication skills, decision making skills, leadership skills, management skills, problem
solving skills etc. for executing daily business operations. I have to be relatively assertive,
extroverted, optimistic and curious for every work operation. Financial manager has to work
with a lot of people, so it is necessary to develop interpersonal skills.
This role also requires more technical analysis, financial risk analysis and strategic
business planning. In order to become a good manager, I might work as an auditor, loan officer,
accountant, or financial analyst during that time and also pursue professional certifications like
Certified financial advisor (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in their off hours. After
that complete market knowledge is required, because it is important for finance managers to be
plugged into markets and aware of business trends. At last I need to do internship in finance field
and take entry level position in a finance company to gain hands on experience in the industry.

Skills and knowledge are the most important and effective part for performing better
performance at the workplace. For becoming successful finance manager here is mentioned some
skills and knowledge which are required for growth in particular positions are as follows:
Communication and business skills: A financial manager work with the other manager
within the company and which is must have the effective ability to break down the
complex financial information into the ordinary language. For that manager should have
with written and verbal communication skills which are effective important for the
position. As per that I have the effective business knowledge for understanding of various
departments in the organization.
Analytical skills: A finance manager must have the effective analytical skills in order to
investigate the root of causes of the problem and work toward a solution within the
organization. For becoming successful finance manager, need to have a problems solver
and must have use of creativity as well as the financial knowledge to resolve problems
for the company in an effective manner. This creates more effectiveness for the
performing better work role at the workplace (Anderson, Chandy and Zia, 2018).
Job knowledge: For becoming successful finance manager must need to have education
in finance, accounting and economics to work in position. In the companies with the
international reaches, the financial manager must have expertise in the international

finance. This help to manage proper and effective goals in effective manner in order to
get proper knowledge about the work in effective manner.
Budget preparation: Finance manager should know about the preparation of budget
which is the qualification of the resources require for achieve the objectives and action
plans for the next year. This creates more effectiveness for the successful finance
manager (Jiang, and et.al., 2018).
Those are the important skills which are important for managing success for business and
for becoming successful finance manager at the workplace. With the help of this, people have
effective knowledge to perform work task in an effective manner.
Learning and progress with reflective logs and journals.
For becoming successful managing thinks here I have required most effective roles and
responsibilities to perform effectiveness for the work. Here I have work to improve my skills and
knowledge to perform my work task in an effective manner. With the help of journals, I have
opportunity to learn various topics and clear my concepts about the work in effective manner.
This creates more effectiveness for the business and for its growth prospects. At the time of
work, I have think that working practices were difficult to perform the task but when I used that I
have gathered proper knowledge of work. With the help of SWOT analysis, I get the ideas about
my personal strength, weakness, opportunities and threats (Schlee and Karns, 2017). Those are
help to me to understand the work and my weakness. For that I have made some strategies which
are help to me for improve skills and knowledge of work in effective manner. By using those
skills, I have work with proper management assessment in effective manner.

It is very important for finance manager to make effective successful plan for developing
their skills for the future career role in effective manner. This could be more effective and
valuable for the business to meet the effective success of company. This creates more
effectiveness. The finance manager is required effective communication skills which is help to

best chance to create more effectiveness for the business and employees. They have need to
gathered more information about the business and commercial knowledge in effective manner.

The report has concluded about work based learning which means a strategy which helps
students to connects real life with actual work experience. Where they learned many skills and
identified their actual goal and targets and make strategies for accomplishing those future goals.
Further, from above report it was evaluated that skill audit is most important concept. As it
identified our personal strength, weakness, opportunities and threats, which helped to improve
our weakness. By analysis of above report personal development plan has also helped in self-
analysis and personal reflection or honest appraisal of our strength and weaknesses. Furthermore,
the above report also highlights that there are different skills and knowledge which needs to be
inheritance by person to become an effective manager.
