Coronavirus diseases 2019 is an infectious disease caused by respiratory syndrome. This disease
is firstly analyzed in Wuhan, China after that it spread at the global level and make the situation
pandemic. This virus is spreading by close contact when people cough or sneeze. The frequent
handwashing and social distancing are one of the great measures to prevent this disease (Xie, et
al., 2020). So, for maintaining the social distancing several working sectors provide the work
from home to the employees so that everyone can stay at home and prevent this disease.
The social distancing is only the reason to prevent this disease and it can be maintained by work
from home. The concept of work at home includes several policies and procedures. Several
numbers of companies are managing the remote work policies to manage the side effects of
Novel Coronavirus. The embracing of remote work is one of the best ways to maintain social
distancing in the environment (Gates, 2020). Several tips make the work at home effective and
properly manage the overall process. Some of the tips include:
Establish your space to manage the professional zone at home.
Replicate the office environment so the work can be properly done at home itself.
Set up a schedule for setting the work completed on time.
Make a plan to achieve the goals
Check-in a constant manner
Along with these tips, there are several policies and procedures used to work at home during
Covid-19 crisis. These policies help in managing remote work during the crisis as it is essential
to maintain the work while maintaining social distancing in the environment. Some of the
policies and procedures are discussed below-
Make the appropriate decisions
In making the proper decisions for work at home, the organization must review the
existing resources, policies and the agreements of customer that makes the overall
process easier (Wang, et al., 2020). The company also make a plan for better
communication.

Make a proper IT infrastructure that helps in remote work
The organizations need to set up the proper infrastructure for the requirement of the
employees and maintain a help desk process to support the employees in the remote work
process. The organization needs to address several systems and equipment.
Make a communication proper
Communication is the essential need of the employees while working at home as the
whole work-based on the communication process. The communication includes the
talking with the supervisors, managers and customers to analyze their needs in a proper
manner (Hafiz, et al., 2020). The organization needs to ensure that communication among
management is open. The company needs to provide employees with system access for
the better help of the employees.
Ensure the proper privacy in data
The privacy in the data of the company is too important to work at home as there is a fear
of leaking the confidential data of the company. So, the organization needs to make
proper privacy in the data and information. The company permit access through VPN
only. The company needs to supply security systems to its employees.
