Summary
In order to enhance the employability skills in terms of making the effective functioning
process in the workplace, Work-integrated learning process can be considered as one of the
important instrumental equipment. In terms of acquiring the essential skills during the work
placement, it can be said that the WIL evaluation program can help to introduce the
predominantly outcomes (Jackson 2015) . There are various factors which bring significant
impact in terms of improving the employability skills that helps to bring the development in their
performances. In the current scenario, workplace environment has become more difficult
compared to the past situations. Applying the skills as well as knowledge in the real world
context has become difficult for the people. On the other hand, it is true that in the cooperative
educational process, internship, sandwich year degree, field work and placements have become
the important components (Jackson 2015).
Research methodology
In the work-integrated learning process, service learning has become the important
component that can play an important role for ensuring the performance ability as well as
professional skills of a student. It cannot be denied that in terms of contributing in the
community, the work-0integrated learning practices are important. In this article, the researcher
has collected the information by conducting a survey method on 131 undergraduates and using
the quantitative data analysis method, the collected information has been converted into the
numerical form (Jackson 2015).

Findings
In this article, it has been identified that poor designs are the important challenge while
conducting the work-integrated program. On the other hand, it is true that in case of performing
the WIL programs, the certain skills regarding issues during the placement can impact on the
overall process. In this article, it has been identified that in the modern workplace environment,
job attainment as well as career progression is important part in terms of prevailing the labor
market condition (Jackson 2015). In order to ensure motivation as well as accountability in
students, the contribution of Work–integrated learning program is important. By fostering the
string partnership between the industry and higher education, WIL program helps to design the
curriculum that provide the strong responds to the needs of industry and community.
The article has also highlighted the challenges in terms of measuring skills of the students
in the professional field (Jackson 2015). It is true that due to some behavioral characteristics as
well as nature of skills of individuals performance of undergraduates in different stages shows
the variation. Analyzing the WIL contacts, it has been identified that it becomes highly
challenging for the organization to maintain the balance between equity in formal assessments
and differing the organizational contexts.
It is true that in some of the cases it also become highly challenging for the organizations
to express the work integrated learning experiences with the undergraduates. however it is also
true that in terms of locating the placements as well as cessation of ongoing arrangements for
ongoing particularly problematic and host business in the recent Global recession, inadequate
design and environment can bring the important impact on the learning process as well as work
placement of the students. in the current competitive business environment performance standard

also so bring the important challenge in terms of providing the standard work experience
(Jackson 2015).
Future benefits
Analyzing the major benefits of the article it can be said that it can bring positive impact
for the organizations, which brings the effective learning and development practices in the
workplace for ensuring the performance standard (Jackson 2015). By continuing this it can also
be said that in the competitive business environment providing the proper work placement and
job satisfaction to the individuals’ employability skill is required.

Service learning has become one of the important contributors in the higher education.
Due to increasing competitiveness in the market and demands for potential employees it has
become one of the important parts during the learning process (Hildenbrand and Schultz 2015).
In order to engage individuals in different life experiences providing the pre-service opportunity
to the individuals their employability skills are being improved (Hildenbrand and Schultz 2015).
Analyzing the advantage as well as potential barriers of individuals the impact of service
learning practices in the current scenario has been highlighted in this article. Service learning is
being considered as the reciprocal relationship which mergers both the sustainable community
service and field experience in terms of offering the learning opportunity which develops the link
between service and academic. In terms of introducing the integrated community service
activities content academic skills and Reflection on the real experiences are important.

Methodology
In order to conduct the research the primary sources have been used by the researcher. by
conducting a survey on 140 teachers from different departments the information has been
collected and using the quantitative data analysis method information has been represented using
the numerical form (Hildenbrand and Schultz 2015). It is also true that not only the survey
method has been conducted but also that researcher has provided participants the opportunity to
comment on the each questions in descriptive manner. In this case it can be said that the
information which has been collected by the researcher has provided detailed description
regarding the topic variables.
Findings
Analyzing the major benefits of this article, it has been identified that with the effective
introduction of Work-integrated learning program, it aims to enhance the national productivity,
government decision making ability and the global competitiveness. Investigating the effective
impact of work placement design, coordination and content in terms of developing the
employability skill of undergraduates, the learning process plays an effective role. In order to
contribute to the community service learning initiatives can bring important presence when the
higher education by focusing on the impact of development (Hildenbrand and Schultz 2015). in
terms of analyzing the perception of college students according their service running experiences
it has been identified that it can bring the significant impact in terms of driving the decision
making process of individuals. By continuing this it can also be said that the article has also
identified that indicating the optimistic approach of students the service learning program can get
affected. based on the teachers preparation Course work, the service learning process can

effectively provide the experiences for professional services to the teacher in terms of becoming
potential contributor in the multicultural educational process. In the article it has been identified
that the service learning components of the course provided at the opportunity in terms of
improving the potential skill of individuals.
Analyzing benefits of service learning it has been identified that it can bring the
significant impact on highlighting Complex approach in the learning and teaching process which
can also influence the evaluation assessment and reporting process of the stakeholders for
enhancing their capabilities in terms of obtaining the consistent result in their professional field.
It is true that in most of the universities and higher educational system the benefits of community
and stakeholders are being ignored (Hildenbrand and Schultz 2015). With effective introduction
of service learning opportunity the changes of benefits between the students and teachers can
help to improve the community and University partnerships. Depending on the collaborative and
partnership nature of service learning project candidates can be able to afford opportunity for
reflecting as well as freely discussing their authentic experiences.
Future Benefits
In the data findings it has been identified that experience based learning approach brings
the significant impact in the community development process. Based on the authentic
experiences the candidates get opportunity for solidifying the theory for practicing the
connections between the coursework and real scenario of the society (Hildenbrand and Schultz
2015). During the service learning process teacher candidates can be able to understand the
general needs of the community which can help them to provide better services. Therefore it can

be said that article can bring significant impact for the universities as well as candidates who
aims to contribute to the community through their professional activities.
Comparison
Analyzing the similarities in both the articles it has been identified that in both cases
primary information has been collected by the researcher while conducting the research project.
it is true that in both the cases the researcher has specified the industry sector. In this situation it
will be tough for applying the information in the Global context. On the other hand, analyzing
the dissimilarities of both the research paper it can be said that in the first article the researcher
has highlight it work integrated learning process as the important contributor in developing the
professional growth. By continuing this it can also be said that in the second article service
learning process has been highlighted as an important contributor in learning and development
process. In the first article the flying issue has been mentioned due to the poor designing as well
as poor implementation of learning initiatives. On the other hand in the service learning process
experience based learning has been highlighted as a major contributor for bringing the
professional growth of individuals. In the second article, the researcher has focused community
development rather than individuals’ growth. On other hand, the first article has mainly focused
on the individuals’ employability skill development process.
