INTRODUCTION
This report will discuss performance audit of my strength, weaknesses, skills, attributes
and attitudes which helps in contribution of my graduate employment and also towards my
career and future progression. The report is also justifying the pathways that are opened for me
in short term, medium term and long term as a recent graduate. The report is also throwing light
on how I am better using my skills which is helping me in improving my performance as a
recent graduate. This report is also justifying about the range of potential activities that can
materialize the end of my studies. The report is also discussing the Gibbs reflective model which
I am using for supporting my analysis.
MAIN BODY
Strength is the quality of being strong. There are various strengths that can be contributed
towards career progression. The first one can be dependability which means the quality of being
trusted by somebody and do work according to expectations of the people. The next can be
success oriented which means people are highly motivated to achieve success and are less
concerned with avoiding future. Weakness can be defined as a lack of strength or character flaw,
or something that cannot resist. Skills can be best defined as quality of doing something well.
There are many skills which an individual have. Some of these are management skills, leadership
and communication skill. Management skills can be best defined as certain attributes or abilities
that a person should possess in order to fulfil the tasks of the organization. Communication skills
refer to those skills in which exchange of information takes place between two or more persons.
Leadership skills are those skills in which a leader guide its team for achieving an organizational
objective.
The various skills which I would use towards career progression are skills of Time
Management, skills of communication and skills of Leadership. Communication skills will help
me towards communicating with others in an effective way. Time management skills will help
me to do the given tasks on time and also help me to do my work in a productive and efficient
manner. Leadership skill will help me to take critical decisions and also be helpful in setting the
clear goals.
SWOT can be defined as Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of individual.
SWOT is a basic tool which will help in analysing what an individual is doing best right now and

it is also helpful for devising a successful strategy for the future(Teoli and et.al., 2019). When I
will use my strength than I will do the things naturally. I will manage the things in a proper way
which would be helpful in accomplishment of my goals. When I identify my strengths and
focus on them, then I will perform better and do the work with more productivity and have a
greater joy in work and life. Weaknesses that will affect my career progression may be hesitancy
about delegating task, tendency to take on too much responsibility and discomfort about taking
big risks. Opportunities helpful for my career progression are that I should develop a culture of
continuous improvement and development for myself. Developing confidence among self so that
personal satisfaction also increases(Herman, 2017).
The skills which contribute towards my career progression are communication skills
which will helps me to communicate with any person in an effective or efficient way.
Leadership skills will me to take decisions which will be helpful for achieving my future goal.
Time management skill will help me to manage the given work on time.
Training and Development refer to those activities which are created by the company
which are helpful in enhancing the knowledge and skills of the employees by giving them
instructions about how a task can be better performed. Training and development will be helpful
in enhancing the performance. The training will be also helpful for building the confidence of an
individual and also helpful for better understanding of the roles which can be further helpful for
better performance and new ideas can also be emerged from that. It will also ensure that an
individual has an experience which is unique and uniform. Individuals who have access to
training and development programs have edge over other competitors in the market. Training
involve programs that helps an individual to improve the performance and learn new skills or
techniques. It is helpful in providing opportunity which is helpful for expanding the knowledge
base. Training is also helpful for performing the given tasks on time. It is helpful for completing
the work tasks of own and it also closes the gap in anyone knowledge. It is also helpful in
creative a supportive workplace.
Many people find that the opportunity cost for development is prohibitive, but training
offers a major chance to nurture the knowledge base of an individual. It is very important for
anyone because it helps in increasing the performance and also helpful in meeting the objectives.
New skills helps an individual in becoming more efficient and being capable of handling new
responsibilities and challenges. The skills and efficiency acquired during training increases the

productivity of an individual. There is strong feeling of satisfaction among doing the work if a

Specific Career Pathway that are opened for me in a short term, medium term and long term as a
graduate :
A career pathway is a sequence of job positions which will help in leading short term
goals and professional goals. Career pathways models have been adopted by government at
many levels. It is a strategy of talent management that charts the development of a career. A
career path helps in identifying the advancement opportunities which is based on skills of an
individual, interest and objectives of career that someone needs to take along the way for
reaching to the milestones that are outlined in a career path. Mapping of career is essential for
professional growth and development. An additional level of involvement is required in Training
and Development, but it can also yield several tangible benefits. For developing technical and
employability skills among students, these are the integrated collection of programs and services
which provide them continuous education, training and place them in high demand, high
opportunity jobs. Each step on a career pathway is designed in such a way which helps a student
for progressing to the next level of education(Bumhole and et.al., 2001).
Career pathways target jobs in industries of importance to local and regional economies.
They are designed to create avenues of advancement to underemployed, the unemployed, new
and future market labour entrants. Career pathway is helpful in making informed professional
decisions based on one current experience and skills. Career pathway is an essential aspect for
retaining the plan and it is also helpful for coaching and mentoring potential which is high and
moving proven performers into new roles that fits into skills which developed over time. Career
pathway provides more clarity and structure in career technical programs of study increasing the
likelihood of post secondary completion(Herman,2017).Career pathway typically refers to either
an individual path through an industry or an individual path through an organization. It supports
one's carrier and education advancement. Career pathways lead to jobs that are in demand and
offer pathways for advancement. They link college education to industry needs, so it will help in
learning the skills that will allow to start a career path that offers economic mobility and
opportunities to advance.

Multiple forms can be taken for communicating career path. The career advancement
opportunities which are available, individual should aware about them and regarding their goals
open discussions should be taken on a regular basis. Businesses that communicate career path
can encourage overall engagement throughout the lifetime.
Short term career path that I will follow as a graduate are : Get a job :The graduates are looking for a job. Graduates should fully review the labour
markets and the sectors and try to get the job in those fields in which they are interested. Become self-employed : Sometimes the person needs to be think out of the box. If
someone has a great business idea than put the entrepreneurial skills that cold be a smart
move. Being your own boss might sound fun, but as an owner of the business, a person is
juggled up with number of responsibilities.
Medium term career path that I will follow as a graduate:
In my chosen field, I will grow my professional network. I would save enough money for gap year after I graduate.
Long term career path that I will follow as a graduate :
I will become a leader in my own field.
I will start my own business.
Potential Progression activities that could materialize the end of my studies:
During one's working life, Progression opportunity is the process of moving or going through
various steps. Moving to next steps, finding the challenges which are new and also finding the
opportunities which are new for one's career. It also means that as you become more expertised
in your field then, one should deal with more challenging tasks and responsibilities. It is helpful
for sense of purpose because it helps individual in feeling that they are growing in some aspects,
when an individual offer career progression opportunities, which in turn is helpful in fostering
the loyalty of an individual(Knowles,and et.al., 2006).
Reflective model is a process that is useful for guiding personal and situational analysis
and improvement. This model encourages the people to think abut he situation or experiences
which happened during an activity. One of the famous cyclical reflective models is Gibbs's
reflective model which defines six stages for exploring an experience. These six stages are

description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. This model provides a
good way of working through an experience. This model is useful because it is helpful in
understanding self learning and thinking strategies. Gibbs's model helps people to think
systematically about situation, event or activity which they had experienced.
With the application of this model in my life, it will helpful for me to increase the self
awareness among self, and it would also helpful for better understanding the others and it can
also be the key component of emotional intelligence. The description stage of this model during
my graduation helps me to analyse that what I will learn in duration of my graduation. During
the feelings stage of this model, I feel that what are the different perspectives of the field of study
which I have chosen. During that time I was very eager to learn new things and always ready for
the challenges which comes in my path to learn anew experience from that challenges. During
the evaluation phase, I thought of learning so many things but it did not work. Some things
which I planned goes in a very smooth way while some are not. The next stage is analysis where
I analysed myself that what are the situations where I am lacking and how to improve that
loopholes for covering that situation. The next step is conclusion where I have to conclude that
what I have learned from the study and what changes I have to do for moving to the next step.
This is the step where I can summarize my learnings and can take actions for the outcomes to be
improved in the future.
CONCLUSION
The report concludes that how individual is going through different phases of learning while
pursuing his graduation. In this report I am doing my SWOT analysis which is helping me in
identifying my Strengths, Opportunities, Threats and Weaknesses. It is also discussing that how I
go through different challenges while pursuing my graduation and how I overcome those
challenges and reached my goal. I used many skills and attributes which prove helpful for me in
doing certain activities.
