to be involved in the activities so that it can be easy to achieve goals and objectives. The
discussion in this paper will be based on the company Nestle. The barrier to employee
engagement can be related to lack of work life balance and this barrier can be seen in many
companies. It has been analyzed that lack of work life balance is the barrier which take place in
the workplace and it has been seen that due to this the impact is seen on the overall productivity
level of the company.
It has been seen that employee engagement is related with active participation of the employees
in the day to day activities of the company. Also it is the passion of the employees to work with
efficiency towards the activities of the company. It has been seen that due to lack of work life
balance the employees are not able to give their best towards the activities of the organization.
There is no work life balance in the company which affects the employee engagement in the
workplace. It is important to have work life balance so that it can be easy for the company to
accomplish goals and objectives. Due to lack of work life balance the negative affect can be seen
on the entire productivity and also on the profitability of the company. It has been investigated
that work life balance for the employees is necessary as there should be proper balance in the
work and personal life. The workload on the employees in the Nestle Company is too much that
it adversely impacts the overall activities of the company. It is necessary to have proper work life
balance so that it can be easy for the company to achieve growth in the high level of competition
prevailing in the market (Deery and Jago 2015, 453-472).

Due to lack of work life balance it has been seen that employees feel exhausted and they do not
involve in the entire activities of the company. When an individual is exhausted then they do not
take interest towards the activities of the company. So, it impacts the overall employee
engagement and it is analyzed that when there is no employee engagement in the workplace then
it can be difficult for the company to achieve success in the high level of competition (Perrons
2016 , 1-2).
Also it has been seen that when employee is not able to manage the activities of their personal
life and office they feel frustrated and irritated. This can affect the overall level of employee
engagement and it is necessary to focus on motivating the employees towards the activities of the
company so that it can be simple to achieve large market share (Kossek and Groggins 2015, 1-4).
When employees are not able to manage their personal life they are not able to give their best
towards the activities of the company. It is the responsibility of the company to maintain the
work life balance of the employees so that employees can give their best towards the overall
assigned activities. Due to lack of work life balance it is analyzed that the employees are not able
to maintain their efficiency towards the activities of the company and also there are not able to
manage their personal life which directly impact the overall behavior of the person. When the

behavior of the person changes it has been seen that their overall attitude and values changes
towards the particular activity. It can also lead to lack of employee engagement in the workplace

maintaining proper balance between the work and personal life. It is important to maintain this so

There are many companies like Nestle in which the issue of employee engagement takes place
due to lack of work life balance. To maintain the efficiency of the employees it is necessary to
maintain the work life balance so that it can be easy for the company to achieve growth in the
competitive market. This can help to enhance the overall employee engagement in the workplace
and also helps to bring best out of the employees.
